I got a little inspired by XIX's thread here.

I came across this youtube channel awhile ago and sometimes I'll check it out for the nostalgia, it's like a time machine. The majority of it is before the internet became mainstream and especially before social media.
Here's the channel with all the videos, they have stuff as far back as early 80s.
Random one I just picked out

It was lovely until the late Millennials and Zoomers started fucking shit up.
Influenced by internet and especially social media. The things they're doing for money today is wild, never imagined anything like it, but here we are.

Ahhh...simpler times back then as a kid growing up in the 60's and 70's, before computers/internet and so forth.

-I was a latch key kid, after school would play whatever sport that was in season at the playground/park until it got dark
-no video games
-land line phones only with no answering machine
--no cable tv, ABC, CBS, NBC , CBC, CTV, GLOBAL, CityTV and WUTV in Buffalo (on a good day, no snow) were the only channels you coud get by rabbit ears or roof antennae

@Jubee for post 1, people had to communicate. Image the same thing going to a movie.
Touch screen no communication.

That's how I started hobbying, used to browse the classifieds in Now and Eye magazines.
Was it better or worse than now? Did you get more or less information on the SP? Did you get any pictures of them back then?

There Is nothing quite as sure as change, and to everything there is a season. It is hard to forget the past…a glorious time when I was able to get much harder…Any guys who were hobbling before the Internet…most certainly are in their twilight now or even expired. Sorry to bring up the grim reality

No pictures, didn't have a cell phone back then and had to call from a land line or a payphone (then from a payphone upon arrival lol)
so you go it blind, sp (or another girl taking the calls) would describe herself and I'd book,
hadn't run into a single scam, the worst sessions were either ending up with an unattractive girl or one who rushes the session,
but I also met quite a few stunners.

It's weird how as kid, I was see movies and they would show what the future would be like and I was all like "I can't wait until the world is like this. It's going to be awesome". Be careful what you wish for. I can't stand most of modern tech. I felt we were at a great place in terms of tech but the world still be really cool around the late 90's early 2000's. I can't stand where how it's gotten, especially social media.

Looooved it. In my early 20's coming home from clubs on the Yonge Vomit Commit, I would always grab one of those mags, sit at the back of bus and pretend I was reading the section about which concerts were coming up...lol. You knew that everyone knew why you actually had the magazine...lol. That's how I met my regular that I had for 17 years until she just retired a few years ago.
