The US has lots of interests in the Middle East and Israel has one of, if not the best intelligence departments in the world and they keep the US very well informed of what is going on. They help the US to keep those interests protected. They also are the only democracy in the region and provide a strong deterrence to Iran, a mortal enemy to the US.
Do you think that the US has supported Israel for 75 years because of it's recipes for chicken noodle soup and pastrami? The US is looking out for #1, which is the US. So it's obvious that Israel is helping the US in some way(s). Use your imagination.
