Everyone was wrong here based on only the facts provided.

1. her hit and run.
2. 3 men following a woman home
3. Her coming out with a gun
4. Not warnings given by the man with the gun

Why were they on her property? You can follow someone safely without being aggressive. Follow, find the house, stay back and on the phone with police.

This following people home seems to be the new trend.

I just had this happen. Not the shooting or hit and run. I pulled up behind someone at a three way stop. They went slowly. I pulled up. As I was stopped, another car was pulling up to the stop sign on the other main street. I was on the side street but he had not stopped yet. I went. He honked and started driving his car up to mine on my turn, I flipped him off. It was my right to go. I was stopped. He was not.

He followed me to my destination and got out aggressive and yelling and threatening to “fuck me up”. He thought he had the right to go because it was “his turn” after the car in front of me. I explained it is who gets to the stop sign first, and fully stops. I don’t know why he seems to think it is a take turns thing but that is not how it works. My stop sign was set further back on the side street and his was right to the line, maybe that is something he didn’t think about either. It is not stopping at the edge of the road but at the stop sign.

Anyways, the aggressiveness of the man was outrageous. I stand my ground of course and tell him who and what he can go fuck. I start to go inside. He then drives over to my car because he originally stopped in front of me when he pulled in to confront me. So I go back out recording for any damage he decides to maybe do. And let him know , I would be happy to review the dashcam of who is actually in the wrong.

More threats of kicking my ass. He gets out of his car and then back in because some guys finally came out of the building to confront him for his aggressiveness towards a woman.

I’m just waving and saying bye repeatedly at this point while laughing my ass off.

But this seems to be the thing. Following people.

Now I get this was a hit and run but you follow safely and don’t instigate the situation when it is something dangerous like that. And 3 men to follow one woman. On to her property if I got the story right. You wait down the street for the cops. You have the LP number and address. You don’t need anything more at that point.

I think all parties are wrong here, but if they entered her property / that guy is fucked for shooting her. She would have cause for bringing out her gun. She was under threat of 3 men following her home.

She was stupid too though. She was safe in the house. Lock the doors, 911 are on the phone, cops are on the way. Why leave the house? Hold the gun pointed to the closed door and if they come in, then shoot.

Sad story all around.

I agree that it was a tragic loss of life but I didn't see anything that said they were on her property and when the mother was showing where she fell, it was right at the street. To me, that seems to say that she had walked out towards the road.

Also, if they were all on bikes then it stands to reason that they would have all travelled together to confront her/wait for the cops as the other riders would be witnesses to the hit and run.

Finally, I'm just curious about what kind of warnings you think should be given to someone who is pointing a gun at you. "Put the gun down or I'm going to shoot you with my legally carried firearm."? If I'm carrying a gun and someone points a gun at me, I'm going to shoot first and ask questions later.

And maybe I'm not the best at judging tone of voice but the video described her tone as panicked . When I listened to it she sounded more offended that they didn't just let her get away with a bit of vehicular assault. "They are following me to my house right now, actually."

Again, I agree with you that she should have just waited inside her home for the police to arrive to arrest her. At least she would still be alive.

Any one of you at the crime scene when this happened ?
So all this is speculative nonsense.
First thing I said was based only on the facts provided. Pretty sure that means it is all speculative. That is kinda way I said it.

Based on that reasoning, nobody should ever comment on anything they don't personally witness? What was the point of your post?
To make a post for post sake.

No charges were laid in 2022, when this incident happened, so it's not "murder". And they weren't "on her property", they were on the road near her house when the pregnant woman came out pointing the gun.

Thanks for the update. That is good to know.

Sad all around. I hope the man doesn’t have PTSD over the incident.

I agree, sad ending for this incident. Especially for the pregnant woman's mother and 11 year old daughter, both were in the house at the time of the shooting.

This story is exactly why guns should be banned.

Without gun, it would have been a lot of yelling and most probably a short jail time for the girl to intentionally hit a motorcycle. But she`d be alive with a second daughter..

We live in a society of fucking violence. Exactly why guns should be banned.

Seems like everyone in America is legally armed. So any fight that would normally have been resolved with some fists is now finished by guns. The justification being that they felt threatened for their lives.

A Youtuber pranker was shot to death because a doordasher felt threatened, even though the pranker was a douche, he never threatened him with a weapon.

Nope. This is why firearms handling trading should be mandatory.

I think everyone is at fault.

I always think of the worst case scenario. That's why I drive very cautiously and defensively. I anticipate the car in the opposite lane swerving into mine, and am prepared

The YouTuber survived the shooting. The shooter told the YouTuber (6'5" or so) to back off several times before shooting him.

Another road rage incident from Florida, the biker didn't shoot because the knife guy backed off right away.

I see an alpha angry male here grrrr
You use Alpha like it’s an insult. It isn‘t. I don‘t have the time to explain it to you why in detail, so suffice it to say that without Alpha’s we never would have gotten past the Stone Age.
