A federal judge has said otherwise. And until such time there is a successful appeal, that verdict stands. Or do you not know that many guilty people rot in prison for years until all appeals are concluded?

Its still under appeal, but should the court decide they did go past their charter of rights with this emergency order what should be done as a result?
1) Jail all liberals
2) State that no government can end any protest ever again
3) Declare the emergency act used against the convoy against the charter and order it ended

The judge just said using the Emergency Act was unreasonable.
In what's already turning into a divisive decision, Federal Court Justice Richard Mosley wrote that while the protests "reflected an unacceptable breakdown of public order," the invocation of the Emergencies Act "does not bear the hallmarks of reasonableness – justification, transparency and intelligibility."
So one Judge that chaired the emergencies act hearing concluded it was justified, and another then said it was NOT justified. So there will be an appeal. I think the fact that 2 senior judges disagreed makes its use at least plausable. Its not easy being the PM and making the right decision all the time and have others second guess your decision. Trudeau erred on the side of caution, and I think his decision was not taken without careful consideration and consultation. So all the judicial decisions will be added to the data on what consitutes an emergency to assist future govts in deciding if emergency powers need to be used. Bottomline: If two senior judges disagree, how the FUCK can you expect the PM to make such a decison unerringly.
