So they've won and can declare a ceasefire?
No, some more of your terrorist friends and their human shields will have to die before the ceasefire☠☠☠

The questions asked are quite often loaded.
'Do you think Israel has gone too far?', for instance.
If it was the only one asked, sure.

That's why a good poll asks multiple questions in a way that you can see if people are contradicting themselves.

Even so, the support for a ceasefire has been pretty consistent.
It has.
People don't like that there is shooting and deaths and want it to stop.
"Should there be a ceasefire" is always going to poll well.

Except in Israel, where 95% want more war and genocide in Gaza.

The Biden issues with Israel continue, now he's working on a plan for each American to send $2000 to Israel to fund a $17 billion bundle of more bombs.

Unless Israel is fabricating 100% everything - and it has not yet been challenged on this by any reputable person or organization - I have no difficulty with the "proof" part. One of the eye-opening things about the news coverage was the explicitly anti semitic and jihadi nature of the Gaza education system. Given the involvement of UNWRA with that system, I call it "case proven". Ditto the medical system and the use of hospitals to house terrorist sanctuaries.

It also makes logical sense to accept that an NGO that has survived in a 1-party theocratic state for 25 years, would have become co-opted. That's just reality being reality.
We're going to have to disagree on that.
It is not at all beyond the realm of possibility, but we'll see if any proof is forthcoming.

Because Israel is a democracy and hopefully the Israeli electorate has a shred of common sense and realizes at some point they and the Palestinian Arabs will have to respect each other and co exist. And that's not going to happen with the current Israeli government.
Right.
So why would the current Israeli government stop what they are doing?
If the electors vote them out, things change, but you were talking about how this war is going to result in Israel putting pressure on itself.
Or did you mean "The West" is going to somehow force Israel to be more less right wing?
(It's track record on that is very bad.)

Surviving the next election?

The West is unlikely to force Israel to do anything. Israel is an ally of the US and 7 October makes Israel look reasonable and ethical compared to Hamas and the other Arab militias.

7 October has likely set back the possibility of any negotiated settlement by 25 years.

The pathology in the pro Israel camp is revolting to behold. Here’s Tom Friedman comparing Israel’s opponents to insects in are barely comprehensible screed.

First of all, that's a columnist, not a leader.

Second, it's a simile to illustrate a military problem. He's not actually comparing Arabs to insects.

Third, tell me what Arabic news media columnists call Israel?

Then it should have a new name since it's different than the previous form.
I think you should write a letter to the UN and tell them.
Until then you're stuck with the existing definition and reports that say Israel is apartheid.

They're stripped to ensure they don't have contraband.

He's handcuffed because he's a prisoner.

Abu Ghraib was quite different.
The guy in the photo has his foot nailed to the floor.
The difference here is that when the Abu Ghraib photos came out everyone was outraged and nobody tried to defend them.

Instead we have people calling for worse.
