Unless Israel is fabricating 100% everything - and it has not yet been challenged on this by any reputable person or organization - I have no difficulty with the "proof" part. One of the eye-opening things about the news coverage was the explicitly anti semitic and jihadi nature of the Gaza education system. Given the involvement of UNWRA with that system, I call it "case proven". Ditto the medical system and the use of hospitals to house terrorist sanctuaries.Guess why I highlighted that word?
Let's see that proof before we demand a shut down of funding.
Fuck, let's just see some convincing evidence if it is going to be a "pause" while people figure out whether or not to continue.
"Israel says so" isn't remotely good enough, especially during an active military campaign.
It also makes logical sense to accept that an NGO that has survived in a 1-party theocratic state for 25 years, would have become co-opted. That's just reality being reality.
Because Israel is a democracy and hopefully the Israeli electorate has a shred of common sense and realizes at some point they and the Palestinian Arabs will have to respect each other and co exist. And that's not going to happen with the current Israeli government. Why on earth would the far-right zionist government of Israel pressure itself to remove far right zionist elements from the cabinet?
