With the SAG strike at the point of completion, Jeff Nichols (The Bikeriders) gets his actors back. The film only premiered at Telluride, not at TIFF: Austin Butler, Tom Hardy, Jodie Comer and Michael Shannon were unavailable.

Now it looks like Sony is ready to release Tom Hardy from his contractual obligations. Venom II: Let there be Carnage sucked, bad writing, Tommy and Wooody Harrelson could not save the film....yet it still made money. Now Venom III: Along Came a Spider is up for release. I almost want to skip it.

I had no problems with the second one.
As long as they keep bringing back Ms Chen, we good.

So Tom Hardy delivered $1.5 Billion to Sony's till. Will he finally get the R-Rated film he's always wanted. Venom has a much darker voice than what he had in the first two films. With the MCU reeling, Sony now holds the aces.

If an accomplished actress like Brie Larsson can't sell The Marvels then the theater going experience is truly dead. Brie Larson and Margot Robbie are the same age. Barbie worked, Greta Gerwig didn't try to pc sugarcoat the film and it proved to be endlessly entertaining. One last gripe:Leonardo Di Caprio. Killers of the Flower Moon is not doing so well at the box office. When Leo is good, he's very good, he deserved an Oscar for The Aviator. Yet is been in films where he's been miscast and Scorsese's latest is one of them, Leo doesn't do well when he has to play a straight up hero.

Finally Martin Scorsese's war horse peer Ridley Scott may have made a film as good as as Gladiator.

You can research and prepare a new show ad nauseam, if the lead actor can't cut the mustard the show gets cancelled. Jeremy Allen White is his generation's Dustin Hoffman and the main reason why The Bear is saving Disney. Although he must be partially deaf with Matty Matheson yelling at his ear. He has a film coming out in two weeks called The Iron Claw , he plays Kerry von Erich.

Anya Taylor Joy is awesome and this may be her biggest challenge. The film is called Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga.

Chris Hemsworth isn't playing Mad Max, so who is? Tom Burke's role is being kept a secret, he could be the first Max Mad bear man. ATJ's peer Florence Pugh did a very hot sex scene with Mr Burke.

I went and seen "The Iron Claw"...I'm a bit of a wrestling historian and knew about the Von Erich family and their story so I found it interesting...but...it's not a feel good film.

Fritz Von Erich pushed his kids too hard.

There are some interesting additions to The Iron Claw. Chavo Guerrero Jr plays The Original Sheik and an actor I've never heard of before Louis Careghino is playing Bruiser Brody. Another actor I've never heard of Kevin Anton is playing Harley Race.

Just saw Poor Things, a comedy rework of the Frankenstein tale
Emma Stone as the "monster", with Willem Dafoe and Mark Ruffalo.
Lots of sex scenes with a totally nude Emma Stone as a prostitute, what more do you want??
She will win her 2nd Oscar.

9/10

I saw a few of Fritz's matches on the Buffalo station. That abdominal claw was a great submission hold. One time he got really pissed at an opponent and gave him a facial claw. It took 4 other wrestlers to come in to pull him off.

On the Buffalo station…you sure that wasn’t Waldo Von Erich? He did a lot of wrestling in that area.

I remember Waldo von Erich, he became the ultimate badass of Maple Leaf Wresting. He was so mean that Angelo Mosca grappled him as a baby face. The Iron Claw was excellent, made me think twice about Zac Efron being talent-less.

I usually watch the opening monologue of the Oscars, I'm happy Christopher Nolan finally got feted. Initially I was skeptical that he could pull off a film about Robert Oppenheimer without his brother Jonathan - happy to be wrong. He received eight previous nominations as a director and writer. His time had come, a great bounce back from the messy Tenet.

I'm still obsessed with this film. Florence Pugh looks amazing!

The most corrupt Oscar ever, a Saturday afternoon matinee film wins over Saving Private Ryan. Proving that Harvey Weinstein was a parasite long before his serial mashing was exposed.
