The Lancet analyzes and reviews medical studies that are submitted to them by the author(s) of those studies. That is their mission statement.
They are out of their realm when it comes to reporting on wars.
Please show us what study was submitted to them? Who were the authors? What was the hypothesis of the study?

When it comes to reporting on wars, that is beyond their scope. For reporting on scientific studies there is no one more respected. But using them as a source for war reporting is Bizarro world. That's the kind of stuff that you have to resort to to be able to push your propaganda.
They aren't reporting on the war, they are reporting on the hospitals and their ability to keep track of the number of dead.
