This is tragic but it’s one of those events that changes the course.
Too bad Hamas scuttled the ceasefire pause. I guess it didn't serve their goals anymore, no matter the cost to the innocents of Gaza.

Hamas in the last 2 days of the pause releasing fewer hostages than agreed, despite Israel fully living up to the release of 30 prisoners per day as agreed.
The attack by Hamas militants a couple of days ago, during the ceasefire, killing 3 Israelis and wounding several more at a bus stop in Jerusalem. With Hamas showing no remorse for that acknowledged breach of the ceasefire.
Perhaps Hamas upping the ante and demanding more than what Israel was willing to agree to regarding a possible extension of the pause?
