I'm in the middle of watching Infamy on Netflix. It's about a teenage gypsy girl who moves from Wales to Poland and later learns it's because she is to be married off to settle a debt. It won't rate as one of my all-time favourites, but it's keeping my interest and is giving me an idea of the gypsy culture.
Just watched the first episode of "The Curse " on Showtime. Funny, weird, and cringe-worthy at the same time. So far 4 episodes of the 10 episode series have been released.
I'm hooked already...

Jason Isaacs takes on his most challenging role Cary Grant in Archie. Laura Aikman plays his super hot 4th wife Dyan Cannon. The story picks up during his marriage to Cannon and the birth of his only child.
Dyan Cannon, who is now 85, is the executive producer of the mini-series.

I'm enjoying The Fall of the House of Usher. Netflix successfully modernized Edgar Allen Poe's masterpiece without diluting it for the PC crowd. It's very intense gothic horror with Toronto's Bruce Greenwood (Star Trek - Captain Pike) as the head of the Usher family. Carla Cugino as second billing she hasn't done much yet. I suspect she's the connection to the Vincent Price film. And Mark Hamill continuing to burnish his credentials as a character actor as the Usher family' s ruthless lawyer Arthur Pym.
Carla Cugino's character has finally been revealed. She was Roderick Usher's first wife who gets entombed alive. The Roger Corman film had almost no connection with the Poe novel except for Verna who shows up at a rave/orgy as The Masque of the Red Death.

Truthfully I get so overwhelmed by the sheer amount of shows just on Netflix that I don’t know what to start to watch because, you know, I don’t want to invest time into something that’s garbage. So most times I just shut off the tv and read a book.
I feel like I’m missing out. Especially with some travel I need to do in the new year, I’ve got no idea what to download for the plane.
I like quirky documentaries, fiction based off real life and comedies.
I’m open to all suggestions

I lost interest in Warrior Nun after three episodes but Alba Baptista is another spicy Portuguese girl. It's not HARD to understand why she's popular, look at how many fans Lindsey Biscaia has on this board.
