Trump was impeached twice with full due process by the House.
He was acquitted of the charges by the Senate.
As I said earlier in the thread, there is no requirement for charges filed by the House to be credible.
This means that the fact the GOP can't find anything credible to accuse Biden of won't stop them impeaching him if they really want to. They just need to convince a majority of the House to do it.
You implied that was just what the Trump impeachments were like, and I pointed out that the evidence actually supports just the opposite - the Dems had credible evidence, given what we saw with the process and the voting.
That it remained insufficient to secure a conviction is a different question.
These days, evidence is only as credible as one side claims it to be. It's really not about an impeachment or trial succeeding. Perhaps a bonus, but not the primary objective.
It's about continually putting your opponent on defense. At the same time it's about keeping headline-readers and the court of public opinion under a constant bombardment that supports your narrative.
