Yes, Palestinians have been suffering under the occupation and colonization of Palestine for 75 years and the last 41 days have been some of the worst.

Hamas held voluntary ceasefires from 2014-2021 and again after the 2021 storming of Al Aqsa until the 2023 storming of Al Aqsa.
Israel did not stop killing people during any of that time.
