The attraction of the anti Israel / pro Palestinian movement in the West is that it can be framed as support for downtrodden brown people against powerful whites. In a world where such causes are becoming increasingly difficult to find, it's probably the only game in town. (The West no longer colonizes Africa, no longer supports wars in Asia and Latin America and has liberalized laws directed against gays and women. The old demo heyday of the 60's and early 70's are long gone).

So the movement attracts hard left people - often fairly young - who are emotionally attracted to the idea of a "cause" and who are very low information - or even "no information". So they ignore the plain fact that Islamic fundamentalism - and even most Islamic societies in the Middle East - are extremely fucked up and nasty for emotional reasons.

The tee shirt icons of my youth - Che, Lenin, Fidel, Mao, etc - were pretty nauseating too. But we still liked them.
When I was in uni, I told the co-eds I was a communist. It worked every time.

What's the deal with the Irish? (I assume she is by her accent).

When I hear that accent on Twitter and TikTok it's always anti-Israel, at least in the current situation.

Did the Jews do something to piss off the Irish?
I'm not sure??

Nobody likes Islamic extremism. The majority of Muslims don't either. Nobody likes Zionism either. Or Evangelical Christianity. No one like religious fundamentalism.

There is no version of history regarding Israel and Palestine, that does not involve oppression of the Palestinians.

Also, terrorism is not justified. But you have to remember they are terrorists to US. We call them terrorists. They call them freedom fighters. The reason these "terrorists" or "freedom fighters" exist, is because of certain things like western military action, oppression, and so on. That has to be acknowledged. Terrorists are not a defined faction that you can defeat on the battlefield. Every lost man can be replaced and replacement is easy when you give them a reason to use.

Jihadists do not exist in a vacuum. And if you agree that we will see a new generation of Jihadists, then why enable them? Why enable them via the same methods that helped create the other Jihadists in the first place?

Oh what a noble government staying out of people's faith! lol. Stop.
Yet the Majority live under it. So I'd say they're quite fine with it.

Oh how kind. Call someone and tell them their house is going to be rubble in 2 hours, for no reason. Where is the military objective? There is none. Even if the people do not move, after such warnings, Israel should still make the choice to not bomb. Failing which it is a war crime.
It explicitly proves their goal isn't to kill civilians. Israel is the ONLY country in history who gives advance warning of their military strikes, allowing enemy fighters to escape simply to limit the number of civilian deaths.

And I'm sure you didn't read the CNN article discussing what constitutes a war crime and what is a legitimate strike.

Do you think Arab and Palestinian leaders have any culpability for the 100 years of violence?

How can Hamas be blowing up so many IDF vehicles? Israel tells us they are all hiding in tunnels.
...
Because tunnels have entrances, many of them hidden in schools, hospitals, and mosques.

But sure, keep on cheering Hamas.

Isn't it possible there is a military target, perhaps under the building with a tunnel leading to an underground bunker? I'm sure this type of intelligence would not be given besides the warning to clear out civilians.
