Prior to the Brits controlling Palestine, that area was under Ottoman control and called something else. The Brits promised the Arabs in the area their own state if they took up arms against the Ottoman Empire.
Not sure they did. They offered the Saudis their own state and were taken up on the offer. Palestine was closely controlled by the Ottomans until 1918.
This one for sure was all Britain's fault. They offered the Jews a Homeland in Palestine and being British, they assumed everyone would be reasonable and discuss their issues over tea. And when the Jews and Arabs were "damned uncivilized and bad sports about the whole show!" fucked off quickly back to Britain.All problems start with the British.
well that’s one of a few misconceptions you have. Also an interesting choice of words. Because prior to, and during British rule. Palestine never existed. Period. And had they tried to give peace a chance, longer than 24 hours….who knows what Palestine might look like today.
And AFAIK Jews were in that area as well predating the Ottomans. Did king David not decree that 3,000 years ago.?

During British rule it was called "Mandatory Palestine" or simply Palestine from 1920 to 1948.

The Ottomans owned it from about 1500, until the British and French broke up the Ottoman Empire in 1919. Then the Brits owned it until 1948.
It’s just another injustice the Israeli government subjected Palestinians to. Israel stealing Palestinian tax revenue and secretly financing a corrupt leader and keeping him in power. All the while bleating to the world that they had to contend with a heartless terrorist. The Israeli government lied to the world, their people and Palestinians.
