I'm not taking sides...but can peace ever be achieved if someone is laying claim to land that was taken by conquest?
Globally, throughout history, wars have redrawn the borders everywhere. Should we as humans just accept that if another tribe has conquered us that we accept that?
If not, then there will be perpetual conflict as one side tries to reclaim what was theirs.
I'm not saying that I condone war...I'm asking a question.

I know the limits of my own hypocrisy and even though she's a leftist in a useless party, I believe that she should be voted out in the next election if people have a problem with what she did regardless what public opinion may be right now.

If anyone is in that situation, the only way they can ensure the safety of their children is to evacuate. However, the only way to minimize the damage of this war, and to ensure it doesn't happen again in the future, is to assist the Israelis in surgically rooting out Hamas forces and infrastructure. If I was being held hostage in my home (as you suggest is the case for Gazans under Hamas rule) I wouldn't hesitate to help the police identify and remove the hostage takers.

The palestinian - Israeli conflict is kind of unique as both Jews and Arabs have been there for thousands of years....If you base it on the religion stand point...the early versions of Q'uran doesn't recognize Jerusalem at all...in the later versions, they recognize Al Aqsa as where mohammad ascended....that was the religious conflict.... on the land itself...I would blame the British and their conquest for superiority....they promised both sides...promise they can't fulfill...But vowing to cleanse the world of your neighbors can only end in 2 things...you get decimated or you succeed....

No, here's a proper translation. You are like a broken old vacuum cleaner with wires severed and tangled haphazardly, as well as broken and missing parts. I am a like a vacuum repair man who looks at the mess and says, responsibly, I can't justify the time and cost it would take to fix this mess, and I'm not sure it would work all that well if I fixed it, nor am I sure that it won't be right back here on my repair bench in a week, malfunctioning and damaged all over again!

CNN's Jake Tapper just confirmed live on air they have seen video evidence of Israeli children being murdered, and babies burned alive by Hamas. For obvious reasons they won't air this on cable TV
Maybe this will help some to see and understand some differences. As sick as it and they ( actual terrorist) are. Israel and the IDF doesn’t wear body cams for propaganda or home movies to enjoy at a later date.
