Beyond that I'm a realist. Name a war declared and fought with no civilian casualties with an urban parrmt to it. By any nation. And please remember that many of the civilians are support staff. Complicit in assisting. So staying to help. This is beyond the majority being told and even forced to stay.

Which is why "civilian casualties" is not the definition of a war crime.

My complaint with you isn't that you suggest it will be impossible for Israel fight this war and cause no civilian casualties.
My complaint with you is that you say Israel should commit war crimes and in fact, because it is Hamas, they shouldn't even count as war crimes, really.

Are you really that myopic, naive and privileged to not see all this? I'm "fine war crimes" because Hamas gave no choice. And find the concept of a "clean" war laughable.

It's like that Star Trek episode where its all fought on computers and the citizens march off into suicide booths. You think that's possible? Or better yet just let em fight it out on OverWatch or Call of Duty?

You will have some civilian loss of life, but this way its kept to a minimum

Here's how I would defeat Hamas.
Surround northern Gaza and set up a buffer zone.
Then wait it out for a few weeks (or months) until Hamas supplies run out.
The enemy will then be either too tired or hungry to put up much of a fight.
Hamas will obviously have emergency rations, but those are not gonna last forever.

If the IDF goes in guns blazing right now they will encounter booby traps, snipers and suicide bombers for sure.
Its not worth it when defeating Hamas can be done a much easier way
