He didn't fight for freedom, well he might have but most of his buds didn't.
People signed up before and during the war for many reasons, and more so they fought, stood their ground, advanced and died for many reason. Freedom isn't one of them.
Social pressure, joining with friends, boredom and adventure [yeah really], a place to be safe during the great depression [for those who were regular force], even King and Country, get in because they figure they would get drafted and wanted to pick their poison [and avoid being sent to the mud] but freedom. No. Loads of reasons, I've read more than a few accounts, freedom never comes up. And that covers who who signed up, never mind those who got in via selective slavery or whatever various countries called it back then.
who didn't? 2 of my dads cousins died in the death march imposed by Japan....1 actually escaped and lived to tell stories...they going to walk 65 miles with minimal supply of water and food. anybody who falls gets shot or stabbed by a bayonet...the march was so long, every night, Japanese guards also gets killed because there are riots going on...i don't know if some of the stories are true but they say they have to slaughter some of the german shepherd dogs that chase them at night...IMO...I think they fought for freedom.

How can you even say JT cannot be blamed for a Nazi in the parliament? lol. Come on man. The PM is responsible for everything that happens in Canada. He is the guy who is running the country. The buck stops with him.

As for the conservatives hosting a dinner with AfD - yeah, they are problematic but you cannot possibly say that, that is worse optics than having an actual SS member, in the parliament, along with Zelensky, with everyone including Zelensky giving that guy a standing ovation, on national TV, especially when the fucking Russians are going on about "denazifying Ukraine". lol.

The realization that they're in trouble is sitting in now...

That was the Bataan Death March?

That's fucked up for your dad's relatives. My sympathies.

This Liberal government just can't do anything right. And now Trudeau's so distracted, out on the man-prowl every night. Is he waiting for actual snow before he finally takes his "walk in the snow"?

My dad inlisted at the age of 16. worked as a spy....he said, he passed as a 14 yr old delivering sundries and rice to japanese encampments from town to town....gives intel to guerillas and US forces...his 2 older brothers joined a task force to blow up bridges it was later in the war when he was given a rifle but he said he wasn't capable of shooting someone at the time so he just kept it under their house.. 3 of their cousins got caught, in Manila and were in the Bataan Death March...one escaped...2 didn't make it...my dad later on joined the military, also given US citizenship because of his service and had a heroes funeral complete with 7 (21 shots) gun salute...it was always what he wanted. Unfortunately none of his kids wanted to be in the military.

That is nonsense. The person responsible is the person that invited him, and he has resigned, correctly. I mean, the guy knew he fought the Russians in WWII. So for him to not look deeper and realize this guy fought with the Nazis shows he has no grasp of basic history whatsoever.

Poland is taking steps to extradite this Parliament Hill nazi. Why? The division he was in was responsible for HORRIFIC crimes against the Poles. hundreds of thousand of innocent civilians. Men women and children were slaughtered by them.

"LPC House Leader Karina Gould sought unanimous consent to strike Anthony Rota's comments about Yaroslav Hunka from the record and the CPC denied it"

Liberals not only have no brains but no shame as well.

After the speaker said the guy fought for Ukraine against the Russians in WWII let the record show the Con
's were equally brainless in putting 2 and 2 together, also applauded the Waffen SS criminal.

Clue # 1 - there was no Ukraine in WWII
Clue#2 - Who were the Russians fighting in WWII.

DOOH!!!
