The Borden's milk man left our milk, sour cream and butter in one of those milk boxes. Once in a while he'd give us a ride in his truck to the end of the block.
A friend's parents had 1 in their house. Burglars broke into the house through this milk box. You could open the box from inside the house so you didn't have to go outside. They kicked in the interior door and reached in and unlocked the side door. Walked right in the house.
There are 3 payphones at Yonge Eglinton Centre mezz level next to the soon to be new gym.
When signalling someone they have a phone call, we used to imitate a land line phone receiver with hand.

Film has made a comeback. I visited B&H in nyc and there was quite a selection of film. Downtown camera in Toronto sells a lot of film, as well.
I have 5 Minolta 35 mm cameras, one Leica rangefinder, one Canon, three Nikons, plus a D780 digital, and a couple of 1954 Kodak Retinettes. I love my D780, but I also brought a film camera to NYC with me to do street photography with.
What Minolta do you have? Did you know that there was a time when Minolta and Leitz worked collaboratively?
