Looks like we will need to wait another 20 years before the Leafs gets into second round of the playoffs. The Leafs suck. Why are they paying their 6 forwards so much $ when they can’t score goals. Time for Mathews to go elsewhere.

Leafs have scored 21 goals in 5 games. That is over 4 goals a game average.

Marner 2 goals 11 points in 5 games
Matthews 4 goals 8 pts in 5 games
Nylander 2 goals 7 pts in 5 games
Tavares 3 goals 6 pts in 5 games
Rielly 3 goals 7 pts in 5 games
O'Reilly 2 goals 7 pts in 5 games

Point, Kucherov,, Stamkos all had zero points in game 5

Other than the empty net Holl was on the ice for all 3 of TB's goals.
He is now -7 in 5 games and that is worse of any player in the playoffs.
Holl is Leafs primary PK defenseman along with Brodie so it's unlikely he comes out for Lili
An option could be to play 11 forwards 7 defenseman and take both Reese and Lafferty out.
Bunting has gotta be in for sure.

In all 3 Leafs wins Samsonov played better than Vasilevsky. Or rather Vasilevsky played worse.
In both Leafs losses Vasilevsky played better. So it certainly looks like it's up to Samsonov for Leafs to win one more.

I argue that the Leafs need some spark and fresh legs so put in Bunting for next game. And yes Game 6 is a Must Win for the Leafs. I have no idea what a Game 7 in Toronto will be like.

Holl was terrible, again. Liljegren was bad down the stretch and hasn't played in weeks. But he may still be an improvement over Holl.

I hope the Leafs win, but don't think they will win 3 consecutive games in Tampa which means there will be a game 7. And you know, Leafs....Game 7's...not good.
But for one, if they do blow the series at least i don't have to watch and listen to those fucking morons at Maple Leafs Square "Leafs in 5" or "we are going all the way", its one thing to be confident and another to be an obnoxious idiot.

Leafs Tampa is going 7 games the fix is in the NHL needs all the TV revenue it can get
Interesting. My late Uncle used to say the same thing.
Just out of curiosity, who has the NHL designated as this years Stanely Cup winner?

I'm saying they don't care who wins just as long they all go 7 games. More games on TV more revenue for the NHL.

I love Holl for his grit and heart. He would block shots with his head and get hammered to make a play; but my criticism on him is his inability to make the right play in tight situations. When there’s no one between you and the goal you don’t go for the hit and risk missing the guy as he did.

On the other goal his slow footedness allowed the Lightning player to walk around him and Samsonov allowed that shot from a terribly sharp angle to go through him. That’s the kind of softies he cannot allow for the Leafs to have a chance to win. When you see him flopping around in the early going, you know he’’s not going to have a good game.

Bunting is in tonight, looks like. Was intrigued at a story looking at how improbable it is for a team to fail to close out a series on 11 consecutive chances. It has happened to other teams but not to this degree. Turns out the chances of failing to close out a series on 11 different opportunities is about 1 in 10,000 . That is ludicrous. What if they lose tonight and Monday and then it goes to failing on 13 chances ? It is becoming absurd, almost tempting me to think there is something going on here that is 'fixed' .
