Does manoah look a little chunkier this year than in the past. Maybe he was living a little to high on the hog this winter. I noticed that too, he looks a lot heavier than last year which may cause him not to locate his pitches consistently. As I was watching him pitch yesterday on more than few occasions he was throwing off balance, looking and checking the landing spot.
Jays seemed to be straying from their hitting game plane against Mclanahan, Many were over swinging, especially Vladdy jr, he was chasing pitches out of the strike zone.

His weight and size was a debate with some journalist or something a few months ago I believe. And then Alex Manoah was quoted as saying something about his success at the weight he is at. And then who could forget how he famously defended Kirk when some other journalist, or maybe even the same one, made that comment about Kirk rounding the bases last year.
Or maybe the pitch clock is forcing him out of rhythm and/or out of breath.

lol that Ben Johnson Cheetah energy drink campaign was one of the saddest things I've ever seen. I remember his sister dropkicking a cameraman in 1988 defending her brothers innocence. And for what? A "cheetah" campaign many years later?

Well in fairness it is pizza we're talking about here... if I was him I would host a huge party and order 10 different large pizzas from the best 10 pizza joints in the city the day I sign that contract

Yes. Once he gets a new contract he doesn't give a shit about being a good player.
Fortunately, I suspect that his attitude would not be the same as yours' would be.
