100%. In any division other than the Atlantic the Lightening would be in a wild card spot at best.
They don't look very impressive.
The only thing that could stop the Leafs is bad luck and bad calls by the refs which seems to be the trend lately. The refs hold a grudge against Bunting, if Bunting blows a gasket and does a Kadri, it could be over for the Leafs. Bunting is going to have to take his shots, it won't be fair, but he has to take it for the team.

Time to put Murray on LTIR and call it a day. I like Woll he seems like the real deal, only time will tell.
To quote Sir Charles, truer words have never been spoken. I've been saying this since the season started.

not always sure...

I have no doubt that when the Leafs lose in the playoffs, Leafs Nation will blame the officials and a league conspiracy, there's nothing new there.
In Toronto the only fair playoff format will be one where the Leafs win. If they lose it's because "the election was rigged".

This Toronto fan-boy narrative that Bunting is unfairly treated is hogwash - he's a drama queen and he totally conducts himself like a drama queen.
Sports writers being unhappy because he's penalized for his actions doesn't mean the refs were wrong or hold a grudge.
Toronto bloggers need to fill a column everyday in some way or another, otherwise they don't have a job.

Tampa's players are getting old. The team seems to go downhill. I believe this is the year the Leafs will beat them.
It'll be interesting to see if Tampa comes out with a strategy to intinidate the Leafs, and play rough.

Leafs vs. Bruins tonight - a preview of the second round playoff (I hope).
Another spectacular choke, the Leafs just can’t seem to stop the curse. Shanahan needs to contact an exorcist,
No matter how well the leaf offence plays, the opponent goalie gets hot and plays way above their level. No matter how well the leafs defend, that one mistake results in a backbreaking goal.
Tell me there is no curse!

I‘d save that rant for another playoff meltdown, if and when that happens. This was just another meaningless regular season game.

However, if a building keeps collapsing before completion, I’d blame the chief architect. Curse is just an excuse for incompetence.

Boston could be beaten in the first round, 2 goalies with little or no playoff experience.
You can say the same thing about the Leafs.
Murray is injured but he was terrible in the regular season regardless.
Samsonov has started 7 playoff games and won only 1.
Woll has zero playoff experience and played 9 regular season games total.

Good point. High chance that Dubas will be fired with another first round exist this year.

No doubt the Leafs have weaknesses and are beatable, I'm just stating that Bostom has a weakness and is beatable too.

Samsonov has been the better goalie so he should start in the playoffs. But he will be on a pretty short leash.
I know that he's our most talented offensive d man but part of me is hoping Morgan Rielly gets injured. He's a sieve defensively. And I think we have enough defensive depth to compensate.
As long as McAvoy isn't injured for any significant amount of time, I don't see anyone beating the Bruins in the East.

Florida has won 6 in a row.
Florida last year was the Presidents Trophy winner as the best regular season team.
Florida could be playing Boston first round.

The 1st period was a little disconcerting tonight. Seeing as Montreal is a very weak, I'm concerned that the Leafs gave up that 1 shot on net in the period. 17-1 were the shots, I believe. And Montreal had a power play.

Leafs need to do better.

I want Montreal to win, I don't want them getting better odds for Bedard. This game means nothing to the Leafs.

Jett Alexander the EBUG and goalie for UofT played the last 70 seconds of the game. A great moment he will remember for sure.
