and not they have Nato in Switzerland and Finland so tell me Einstien, how's that worked out for Russia?
Switzerland is not NATO, Finland soon will be.

Regarding those 2 countries, Russia would never attack them whether or not they joined NATO. If hypothetically they did, NATO would directly intervene even if they were not NATO countries. There is a lot of selective outrage and racism. For example, the entire west bleeds for Ukraine, but no one gave 2 shits when Syria was being run over by terrorists or when Russia was involved there. Everyone welcomed Ukrainian refugees in Europe, but when Syrian refugees came, countries were openly telling them "Dont come".

So if Switzerland or Finland were attacked, NATO would directly intervene even if they weren't NATO members because they are that privileged. So I dont think Finland joining NATO changes much for Russia.

The only simplistic argument being made is yours.

Nato bad, Russia good, Ukraine evil,
If that was our takeaway from my post, then you are beyond dumb. Or atleast playing conveniently dumb.

How convenient and your belief that Russia is fine with Finland joining Nato, really? Switzerland is next btw. Now, you claim the US won't directly fight Russia over Ukraine but will jump into a war for a non-nato country like Finland or Switzerland. Do you actually read and comprehend what you post??

See, this is where you are wrong, it is your post and arguments that are beyond dumb.

Read your own article. And yes, NATO would jump into direct intervention if both these developed nations were attacked.

Putin was quoted by Russian news agencies as saying he could not rule out that tensions would emerge in Moscow’s relations with Helsinki and Stockholm over their joining Nato.

“We don’t have problems with Sweden and Finland like we do with Ukraine,” the Russian president told a news conference in the Turkmenistan capital of Ashgabat. “We don’t have territorial differences.”

“If Finland and Sweden wish to, they can join. That’s up to them. They can join whatever they want.”

However, he warned “if military contingents and military infrastructure were deployed there, we would be obliged to respond symmetrically and raise the same threats for those territories where threats have arisen for us”.

Russia has repeatedly warned Finland and Sweden against joining Nato, saying the “serious military and political consequences” of such a move would oblige it to “restore military balance” by strengthening its defences in the Baltic Sea region, including by deploying nuclear weapons.

Kreal ( 🐔 )GOOD MORNING!!!

I have another question for you!!!!!

I am just curious why the ICC hasn't issued an arrest warrant for Biden and the head of Nato since they are responsible for the war.

Can you please intelligently explain this to me

*note* if I laugh at your response it means it is not an intelligent response but you will never know or maybe you will.

This is a pretty stupid post. Its almost like you started off sensibly and then had a meltdown half way through :ROFLMAO:

The bolded sentence wouldn't have happened in the case of Ukraine, if there was either a) No NATO or b) NATO exists but does not expand and/or threaten Russia by meddling in Ukraine.

The rest of your post makes no sense at all and I read it like 5 times.
So you're saying without NATO there would have been no Nazis in Ukraine so no reason to invade again?

Isn't this just an admission that Putin thinks Ukraine is still Russian territory?

Why dont you click the "Medical Uses" section of the same article you linked and read. Here is the very first sentence. Do you think making such obviously dishonest arguments is smart?

"Ivermectin is used to treat human diseases caused by roundworms and a wide variety of external parasites.[29"
But, you aren't answering the central question: Why is anyone taking it for Covid-19 when it is only used for removing parasites?????? Covid-19 is a virus and not a parasite!!!!

C'mon, you're almost there, genius.....

Sure, but that is what "wins" on TV.
He shouted at the other guy and got off some quips.

That means he "won" according to his fans.
That he didn't answer the question is irrelevant.

It is not a proxy war when they are just aiding Ukraine from being exterminated by supplying defensive weapons by a foreign invader who has no scruples.
This is kind of a useless debate since there is no agreed on definition of what makes a conflict a "proxy war".
The answer is going to depend on what criteria you want to use and no one has to agree to the same criteria.

No it is not. Donetsk and Luhansk and Crimea are all pro-Russian with ethnic Russian speaking populations that support Russia, with Russia annexing Crimea. So there is an active territorial dispute here.

Because they are just tools of western imperialism. Nothing the ICC says or does is really of any merit. It is why even the US is not a party to the ICC. There is very valid and active criticism that the ICC just focuses on the wests enemies. Infact African nations routinely call it out for bias.

PS: You can laugh emoji all you want. I know a lot of it is mindless. If you see Val, mandy or Franky comment, you'd just hit like without reading and if I comment you'd just laugh emoji it just for the heck of it. Carry on. Its what people do when they dont have a response.

I dont think my original comment you are responding to had anything to do with Nazis. What are you talking about?

And I said this several times, the existence and expansion of NATO challenges the Russian ability to project power, and establish their sphere of influence, which in and of itself is a threat. Added to that you have an enemy military alliance at their borders with nukes. It IS a threat.
The existence of Russia's ability to project power and establish a sphere of influence over them is in and of itself a threat to Germany, Poland, and other countries bordering Russia.

There, I've justified all aggressive military action by every country against Russia.

OR... maybe you need more thought out logic than you're using for your rationale here.

Russia definitely needs to be dealt with because they never seem to learn how to treat its neigbours as sovereign states.

No you have actually stated for the absolute truth here from a western perspective.

People dont give 2 shits about Ukraine.

The end goal is to destroy Russia because their very existence is for some reason a threat to western interests. That right there is why we have NATO even today.

Therefore it only proves that Russia is correct in calling this an existential threat to them. You have now backed them into a corner. They either invade (bad decision) or be destroyed and diminished (which they cant allow).
