That's a good point. Might not be worth giving up asset(s) just to replace Holl with Schenn. There's something about Schenn that Dubas doesn't like and some about Holl that Dubas likes.

I can see that, I like Holl better…I’ve never been a Luke Schenn fan. There's something about Schenn that Dubas doesn't like and some about Holl that Dubas likes.
Yes, he is slow. There is no denying that. His stats this year are good though.Schenn has always been slow(pylon-like) , no?
It will go to game 7How will Leafs stack up against Tampa in the first round ?
Have to think the Leafs are going to try to flip that first for other value at the deadlineSandin to Washington for Erik Gustafsson and (Boston) first-round pick.
Do you feel comfortable about Murray staying healthy if he comes back? If I'm Dubas, I'm shopping for a goalie.I liked Engvall. He's big and he's fast. Sadly though he has no grit. He also didn't accomplish much last playoffs. For a 3rd rounder. With Acciari and Lafferty it made Engvall expendable. Plus, he is on an expiring contract.
Excellent pick up on Schenn. The biggest hitter in the league. For 3rd rounder so it's like trading Engvall for Schenn. Leafs could use Schenn the same way TB did. Not for every game but perhaps early to set the tone.
Once they trade Kerfoot for cap space so they can bring in Murray and they'll be all set. Or perhaps they could trade Murray for a goalie that has a glove hand.
No, but Dubas likes him. They got Rittich one year for a 3rd rounder as the 3rd goalie insurance. He may do the same.Do you feel comfortable about Murray staying healthy if he comes back? If I'm Dubas, I'm shopping for a goalie.
Joonas Korpisalo. No, but Dubas likes him. They got Rittich one year for a 3rd rounder as the 3rd goalie insurance. He may do the same.
Yep. I think the Leafs are gonna snag him before Friday. I'm digging the moves Dubas is making.Joonas Korpisalo.
What’s Gustafsson contract?Sandin I just couldn't see playing in the playoffs. He's too small for a defenseman. Regular season is fine but not for the playoffs. Small players need to be dynamic skaters and his skating is not dynamic. He couldn't hold off the bigger forwards. Still I'm surprised they traded him. I'm even more surprised what they got for him. An excellent return. A first rounder and a player. Gustafsson is Washington's leading point producing defenseman. Their power play guy. Probably same player as Sandin just older and bigger.
Once upon a time Sandin was ahead of Lili but at this stage Lili is much better. Especially for playoffs.
I think that Dubas is taking a page out of the Blue Jays playbook.I liked Engvall. He's big and he's fast. Sadly though he has no grit. He also didn't accomplish much last playoffs.
