Above, former U.S. President Donald Trump stands before an American flag in January 2023. Inset: a look at the derailed cargo train in East Palestine, Ohio, on February 4, 2023. Safety legislation repealed by the Trump administration could have made the accident less severe, according to one insider. GETTY

This is a East Palestine, Ohio, is a Carbon Copy of what occurred in Mosier, Oregon, near Hood River in the Columbia River Gorge. That is why the Obama Government imposed this legislation that would have been implemented by 2021. If this Moron of a Dummy called Trump did not roll back this Legislation then the catastrophe in Ohio would never have happened.
All of you that believe the crap from far right sources including MTG, would you now see who and what was the root cause of this incident?

Oil Train Safety Rules Getting Rolled Back By Trump Administration

The Trump administration is rolling back a requirement for trains carrying highly explosive liquids — like the oil trains that run through the Columbia River Gorge en route to Northwest refineries.

The 2015 rule was supposed to make these hazardous trains more safe, following a number of derailments. But that was under President Obama, Now, President Trump's Department of Transportation says railroads with trains carrying highly flammable liquids will not have to update their braking systems.

"The costs of this mandate would exceed three-fold the benefits it would produce," the DOT said in a statement — that's according to studies by the National Academy of Sciences' Transportation Research Board and the U.S. Government Accountability Office.

Obama-era regulations required railroad companies to install electronically controlled pneumatic brakes by 2021. Those new systems were supposed to help prevent fiery crashes, like last year's derailment in Mosier, Oregon. ECP brakes are supposed to brake faster because they signal instantaneously throughout the train.

Triggered without me even trying lol

Are you and Frank trying to look stupid at everything? Just hobby once in a while and avoid comparisons that don't make sense. People see your meaningless post count vs how much you hobby.
Triggered, you get triggered from my post. Wow, no wonder you do not seem to grasp the grifts the right spouts off and you buy into them hook line and sinker. As for my hobbying, I kind of suspect I see more ladies in a month than you do in a year but hey, who's counting?

ps...why do our post counts trigger you so much. Do you hope by stating so you can bully us into posting less? Isn't this akin to cancel culture, trying to silence Frank and me? Shame on you!!!

I'm surprised that you aren't blaming Trudeau, the way you usually do for pretty much anything else.

But in fact it DOES seem to be Trump's fuck up, doesn't it?
It seems to be Mayor Pete's Fawk up. It took MP 10 days to look into the train derailment. MP is supposed to be the US secretary of Transportation.

Except it's not really his job, is it?

There are railway execs and local transportation officials that do that. It's like saying that Biden has to stand at the southern border and check immigrants' visas.

The question is does she really believe the nonsense she spews or is it just for her Einstien base and supporters?
Of course she doesn't. Its how she stays relevant looking for anything to create a conspiracy out of.

Brigitte Gabriel is a fairly extreme far right troll account that's often mocked for its silliness.

The President has a job to do that doesn't include clean-up after a train derailment.

Here' the Wiki BTW. The news reporter who was arrested was arrested on the orders of the Republican Governor of OH btw and because he was too loud outside a political rally. And the railway heavily contributed to both political parties to reduce environmental regulations affecting the rail industry.

The derailed train was a Norfolk Southern freight train,[3] which consisted of three locomotives, nine empty cars, and 141 loaded cars.[4] The train was operating from the Terminal Railroad Association of St. Louis yard in Madison, Illinois, to Norfolk Southern's Conway Yard in Conway, Pennsylvania. The train was not equipped with electronically controlled pneumatic brakes, which a former Federal Railroad Administration official claimed would have mitigated the severity of the accident. In 2017, railway industries successfully lobbied Congress with over $6 million and over $3 million in GOP and Democrat campaigns, respectively, to repeal the regulations requiring the use of such brakes on trains carrying hazardous materials.

On February 8, during a newscast in a gymnasium behind the press conference of Governor Mike DeWine, Evan Lambert, a reporter for NewsNation, was approached by two state troopers of the Ohio Highway Patrol and Major General John C. Harris Jr. of the Ohio Adjutant General's Department, who cautioned him about his loudness, leading to a confrontation. Several police intervened, as cell phones and body cameras recorded.[31][32]

Harris told police Lambert approached him aggressively and: "I instinctively put my hands on his chest to keep him from bumping into me, which I felt was inevitable if I had not protected myself." Lambert was asked to leave by a representative of the East Palestine schools. After refusing, he was taken from the gym and arrested.[33][34] He was charged with criminal trespass and disorderly conduct and released later in the day.[35][36] DeWine said Lambert "had the right to be reporting" and condemned obstruction of the press: "That certainly is wrong and it's not anything that I approve of. In fact, I vehemently disapprove of it."[37]
