Statham is already 55. Craig is 54 and did his first Bond movie in his 30's.
They need a Bond who can do several movies not just a one off. ATJ is 32

I like Stathams action movies, I just don't think he has the same elegance and looks of the other 007.

Sure they could bring him back from the dead, but to do it in a manner not befitting some bullshit comic book hand waving...
Also the last scene was all about him facing certain death. If he last minute jumped into a refrigerator or some bullocks and survived it would remove all the gravitas of the last scene.

James Bond is a fictional character, but he is still a character and a white one. Doing something just to piss of people who should be pissed off is just plain childish and stupid. Up there with those "Trump lives rent free in your head/ you have Trump Derangement Syndrome" derpature.

Jamie Lee Curtis is 64, she and Michelle Yeoh had great chemistry in Everything Everywhere all at Once, and she kicked nasty ass while sticking her gut out.
