1) Bond is a fictional character. Fictional characters get reimagined all the time.
2) If being white was the key theme in Bond stories, you might have a point.


If a remake of the A Team had Mr. T played by an Asian woman I'd have no problem because it's fiction.

Urg reimagining. There is a difference between doing say The Warriors but in modern day LA vs going around changing races and genders of characters.
Also we all know it has nothing to do with reimagining and everything to do with the Agenda.


I'd pity the fool who would recast BA Baracus with an Asian or a woman... unless that Asian was Singham.
Also if they replaced any black character with a white hetrosexual cis gendered male I am sure you would freak.

That you think an Asian Woman could do justice for a character like BA Baracus tells me that.. well I can't take you seriously.

Really like Idris Elba as an actor. Not sure I see him as James Bond though. Giving it a lot of thought. Maybe. Could be I'm just seeing anti hero Stringer Bell as well. Idris is 50 as well. Why not go younger for a change.

I'm just imagining a white British guy. Not sure if Ian Fleming identified Bond in that way when he wrote the books. Probably just a given in his time. But times change.

I could see Elba being introduced as a 00 and then spinning that off. See how he does with that. Might make sense when you consider Bond was killed in the last one. Actually as I ponder that. That's what I like. Kill Bond and start a new franchise with Elba as new 00.

A Jane Bond could be enticing.

You do realize the Bond movies are a reimagining of the Bond books right?


BTW. Maybe you can find me a quote from a Bond book that specifies him as white.
