I really think the democrats want to keep Donnie in the running. They beat him on the popular vote 2 out of 2 times and he is polling worse than ever. It's unlikely he would sway any swing voters.

It does appear that the age of the Orange Stain is (finally) ending. But never underestimate the power of the combination of snake oil salesmen and stupid Americans.....

The GOP are terrified, they don't want another Obama to emerge, all eyes are on Pennsylvania.

If John Fetterman slays Donato's Ottoman Pasha he'll become the front runner for the Presidency. He's not a small man, almost a decade ago he tipped the scales at 400 lbs.

A character from Hill Street Blues as POTUS?

John Fetterman before he started eating his greens. This is shocking, he's 6' 9" tall...he could literally break Joe Manchin.

I certainly hope not.
It's a shitty gamble, and encouraging forces of corruption who want to actively prevent fair elections in the future is not something that should be played with.
Yes, lots of the rest of the GOP are also in favor of abandoning Democracy and some of them hide it better. But any time people actively pushing for it are rejected it sends the message to others that this is not the way to advance. Better for him to flame out earlier than later.

Hasn't Trump already done the mob boss thing and forced them to back the Big Lie?
Hoping that he's gone doesn't undo that damage, instead you'll end up with DeSantis who is less incompetent and more likely to really screw with democracy.
With rump at the helm they are very beatable by vote, though they may cheat the election to attain power.

John Fetterman is the same age as the insufferable Cenk Uygur, he's spent most of his life as a civic engineer. MTG spends most of her time as a filth engineer who advocates a final solution to non-Christians.

Ana Kasparian looks good without Uygur.

He didn't have to force them to do anything.
If the Conservatives can't win by democracy, they will abandon democracy, not Conservatism.
Sure, DeSantis is also bad. But that isn't a reason to try and prop Trump up and spare him from being accountable.

They did all have to back the BIg Lie or risk his wrath on re-election, though that's not worth much these days it was for a while.
Trump shouldn't be propped up at all, he should be on trial through Oct and Nov, ideally.

Unfortunately the GOP has gone In a direction and Trump was the perfect guy to justify it. He is not the leader of the party but more of a big mouth water boy. Bannon broke the mould and got his Pinocchio in charge for 4 years. Everyone knows he will lose again but he keeps drawing in money and creating energy in the base.

I'm no fan of Trump, but I find it weird how people pick and choose who's acceptable to body shame and who isn't, yet fail to see hypocrisy in their actions. The people mocking his weight are the same people who decried similar appearance-oriented criticisms of Hillary.

I'm pretty sure that Hillary didn't claim her doctor said she was more fit than any president in history
