Leafs losing 0:3 end of 1st period.
No fun losing that many goals in 1st half or 1st period and no able to score even once.

I hope Holl comes out the next game. He made several mistakes the last game and was rewarded to start the game ? It’s a bad coaching decision imo. Tavares is showing very little emotions. He gets hacked, wracked and punched and he just looked down and skated away. You’re in trouble when your $11 million captain gets out played by the 1.5 mil journey man on the other team. Nylander finally scored, two garbage goals when the game was essentially out of reach. He and Tavares have made no positive impact through four games.

Tavares actually looks scared out there when the whistle blows and scrums start up. Wonder if his injury from last year's playoffs has him spooked? Agree his play has been deteriorating to the point of ineffectiveness though. Both Willy's goals were things of beauty - both times he was in perfect position and executed well. Thing is, again he was largely invisible the rest of the game when it really counted, and once again he gave up the puck on the TB blue line and TB scored into the empty net for their 6th.
WTF was that. They had no compete. They sure looked like they had given up. They were outraced to the puck and were scared to block shots. That was a really poor effort. They were never in it. They never gave themselves a chance to win. Need way more compete if they're going to win on Tuesday.

Series is tied 2 - 2, coming back to Toronto, they still have home ice advantage.
Campbell was awful, you think Reilly played a good game?
He got caught behind the play by a lot on a few goals, his judgement to let the puck go on the last goal was as bad as anything I've seen
in a long time. FYI, I'm a big Reilly fan, last night was not a good game for him.
I see the the first three games as a truer reflection of the Leafs and Reilly as opposed to last night.

Barry Trotz is available. Lou Lamiorello fired him this morning.
I would have felt a lot more confident if they had put up a good fight and lost. This loss reminds me too much of how they played when they lost in years past, flat, no passion and timid. They started the game like they knew they’d lose because they were happy that they were already guaranteed a split. If they really had learnt how to play in the playoffs, they would never have started out the game as they did. It’s just one loss, but it’s a big step backwards and old bad habits are creeping back in.
With all that said, I’m still hoping that they’ll throw eggs on my face and win two of the next three because I still think they have that ability, question is, do they have the heart to do it ?

Holl back in for game 5. Tampa forwards are looking to really expose his lack of speed and slow hands.

I think Sheldon Keefe is a good coach but he's not the right coach for this group.
Trotz gets the most out of his players he's done pretty well with the Islanders who aren't exactly a talented bunch of players.
If we are bounced out of the 1st round again I'd look at bringing him in.
