And more giveaways?Holl in tonight, Liljegren out. Looking for more size and experience on D and better penalty killing.

I didn't notice any bad giveaways, just a penalty for being such a slow skater. And Keefe limited him to 13 minutes of ice time. Only Lyubushkin had less at 12.Time will tell.
And Soupy was solid. Very calm.Maroon and Perry were non factors. Hardly noticeable other than Maroon's over the glass penalty for Leafs go ahead PP goal.
Without Clifford and Simmonds Leafs definitely did not look soft or timid or scared.
Oh yes he was.And Soupy was solid. Very calm.
The lineup last night felt like the perfect mix the Leafs need to play a solid 360degree game. The Nylander / Tavares thing needs to change. I agree the lack of scoring are one thing, but Tavares' lack of speed and endurance, and his ability to win faceoffs, previously his strong suit has slipped badly of late. At one point the stats guys posted he was sitting at 36% faceoff win percentage. If he can't score anymore, as a centre he still needs to be able to win possession. Wondering if he is playing through some injury.I’m amazed that the Leafs can grab a 2-1 series lead with Nylander and Tavares combined for a single point and minus 3. Fortunately Mikheyev and Kempf are picking up the slack.
They need to put a tracking device on Nylander to locate him, he just goes AWOL. He is wasting his God given talents and it's a drag on the team.shack coined the term 'mercurial' for Nylander. Bang on. I suspect that if better performance is to come from Nylander, it'll be a result of what Keefe and Dubas do to motivate him. That seems to be the formula.
well said. They need to put a tracking device on Nylander to locate him, he just goes AWOL. He is wasting his God given talents and it's a drag on the team.
He had a pretty good game in Game 1 even without scoring, and then drops back into his old ways.
He doesn't get it, better yet, he doesn't have it.
This is his 6th (7th?) playoffs, and nothing changes, especially this year when everything is on the line.
I don't even resent him for it anymore, I just accept him for what he is, a disappointing underperformer.
It is really beyond me how he gets cut so much slack.
Instead of being a driver on this team he's just going along for the ride, even after Keefe rode him.
Everyone is playing balls to the wall and he can't get his blood pressure up if his life depends on it.
Oh, wait, he was their best player last year....
TJ Brodie is one of the best d men in hockey. Real fans know and understand that. Guy is a rock back there. Every team that has won a SC has had one or more D men like him.I'm surprised how little respect he gets, he's the Rodney of the Leafs.
If TJ Brodie doesn't make that stick save covering for his goalie, the Bolts may have won the game. Imho that was the pivot point.
Agreed. I thought he was trailing off a bit this year, but he's been outstanding in the playoffs.TJ Brodie is one of the best d men in hockey. Real fans know and understand that. Guy is a rock back there. Every team that has won a SC has had one or more D men like him.
