If they are corona viruses then, yes they are really bad colds. They, however, actually had a significant mortality rate, unlike COVID19. We wrecked our economy and most likely will end up in a major economic collapse and/or global conflict because people like you were scared of a cold. When you're broke and starving (along with the rest of us) in a few years, remember that you put yourself there.
Lets ignore that not all colds are coronaviruses. Many are Rhinoviruses, adenoviruses, on enteroviruses.
Long COVID, like COVID, mostly affect those who were already sick to begin with or very old. Essentially, if you were sick or frail prior to COVID 19, catch COVID19 and survive, you are likely to have long term consequences. Again, a big nothing burger served up by the order of those who own the MSM for consumption by those who are just educated enough to think themselves intelligent.
