So one more time, since ppl need hearing aids to hear this, protests are not against the vaccines, but all mandates where unvaccinated are treated as second class citizens, and somehow that is ok.... well it is not there is no jjstification for it.... many of us are vaccinated like my self, but we have not lost our humanity and common sense because of it, and sure dont think that we are so.ething special...
But the unvaccinated are infectious.

This has been discussed on this board a million times. Their infection period last longer than vaxxed. Plus, the govt has to incentivize people to get vaxxed.

These are legit government motivations that the courts will accept if challenged. Government gets to make laws. That's why it's there. Some laws are going to piss some people off. In a democracy, you seek to remove the government you dislike in the next election. In the meantime, you obey the laws, whether you like them or not. Or you flout them and accept that there may be consequences.

You don't like that, go live where there's no government. There's probably a chunk of ice halfway between Russia, Canada and the US in the Arctic Ocean that would fit the bill.

From over 10 years ago. There were extreme right wing elements involved in these demonstrations.
But let us not forget the killings by extreme right right wing groups such as the Quebec Mosque Shootings, The London, Ontario truck murders of a family, the storming of Parliament Hill after the shooting of a soldier!!

These are the real violence events with intent to cause mass murders by the right wingers!!
Those acts were not perpetrated by extreme right wing groups. Try again.

One more time.
We've had a vaccine mandate in schools for decades now and nobody cares.

We've also eliminated smallpox, polio and had the measles almost eliminated until the stupid anti vaxxers screwed it up.

Those are for real vaccines that are proven effective and safe and given to to kids at a very young age. Big difference between that and injecting multiple doses of mRNA gene therapy that was magically developed in 6 months.

You don't think 1 billion doses is enough to judge whether its safe or not?

It started as a demonstration against the mandate for truckers crossing the border. But now there are all sorts of demands including lifting all restrictions that are the jurisdictions of the Provinces. Even Premiers like Doug Ford have condemned it for a reason. The very basic one is that the various levels of Government have to put the interests of ALL Canadians first. Those who do not want to be vaccinated have made their own choice and thus even The USA Government now do not want them to cross the border. They are still free to transport the goods within Canada if they so desire. If I want to fly to another nation then I have to conform to all the Regulations in the Country of Origin and The Destination. Why should there be exceptions? Moreover they should not be blocking the flow of goods through borders between Alberta and the USA just for their own selfish reasons!!

What about the 70% or so of truckers that agree with the vaccine mandate? Are their rights not being violated by these truckers blocking their passages across the border to deliver the necessities to both sides of the border? Wow, and the right wingers will be complaining if things are being delayed to arrive on the food shelves of the stores!!

Anyway, since when are they not allowed to protest?? Just their ridiculousness at what they are protesting about. No different from someone protesting about his rights not to wear a seat belt, or busy texting on his cellphone and being ticketed while driving!!
How do you define "agree with the vaccine mandate"? "Agree to get vaccinated" or "agree to have vaccination for all drivers crossing the border to be mandatory"? These are two VERY different things. Only a small minority argues against vaccination. Many people arguers against mandatory vaccination and against economic consequences for people refusing to get vaccinated. The protest is not against vaccination, it is to support the personal freedom

First of all you can blame Trump for the operation Warp Speed if You think that the vaccines were "magically" developed in 6 months. After all he is taking credit for it. So are You going to condemn him for it? LOL!!

The fact is that the RNA technology was first researched in the 1960s to 1970s, and later in the 1980s the Lipids were attempted to see how they work. in the 1990s for almost a decade the RNAs were researched to unlock its potential use in medicines. From then on technology like unlocking the RNA from Lipid Nanoparticles were attempted in gene therapy. Around 2005 the huge step forward was to have figured out how to make the RNA safe for injection into cells. This led to synthesizing the embryonic cells that ultimately led to formation of the mRNA + Lipid nanoparticles. From 2014 onwards, is when the actual Research went into the creation of the vaccines that were attempted in SARS and MERS viruses. Eventually this development in the vaccine technology was found to be very promising in combating the Covid-19 Virus!!

I’m certainly not a “right winger” and I’m fully COVID vaccinated including booster, flu shot, Shindrix (sp?) Tetnus, and a Pneumonia vaccine. I’m not now or ever have been against vaccines of any type and my children are fully vaccinated. I’m against governments not respecting people’s rights. Period. I’ve explained myself clearly and I will be now moving on from this conversation.
Have a good day sir,
This. This is what this protest is about.

Once again the Mandate is for truckers crossing the border. No one is holding a gun at your head to tell You that it is mandatory to take the vaccine. No just under 30% are against the Vaccine mandates for border crossings, including about 85%+ of truckers who have complied with the mandate. The whole reasoning behind the mandate is to protect the Health of ALL Canadians in order to combat this invisible enemy called the Covid-19. Can you explain the logic behind not wanting to be administered the vaccines, especially when it does not incur a personal cost as the Science corroborates the fact that it could eventually lead to herd immunity at a much more accelerated pace?

Not at all.
More people got the jab this weekend then showed up in Ottawa.

The only people looking bad are those that supported the protests, like O'toole.
Not about the vaccines, but mandates, your super juice will still be available to you....

This is my favourite one, but at the same time human rights have been honored, and children can still go to school even if they are not vaccinated.

But again as usually you are missing the point, and i will say it again it is not about the vaccines.

Did you try thinking about what takes to run a gym, or restaurant? About workers in those industries , owners, supply chains ? I am sure you did not because you are easily missdirected by making everything about the needle!
