The majority of Canadians agree with using the seat belts while driving, as well as are against distracted driving, but would it not be ridiculous if there were Canadians who protested against such mandates??
But what is really hilarious is the fact that the same ones who are anti-vaxxers, were once upon a time cursing and swearing at the PM for not procuring the vaccines in a timely manner unlike our neighbours down South. They were swearing that Trudeau should be responsible for all the deaths from this virus as the vaccines were around one to two months behind due to the manufacturing issues in Belgium and other locations. They stated that Trudeau was dishonest about getting the vaccines by September 2021 for everyone that needed it. But now that the vaccines are freely available and Trudeau achieved those goals by a full month ahead of time, not surprising that the right wingers are advocates for the ant-vaccine movement. I’m certainly not a “right winger” and I’m fully COVID vaccinated including booster, flu shot, Shindrix (sp?) Tetnus, and a Pneumonia vaccine. I’m not now or ever have been against vaccines of any type and my children are fully vaccinated. I’m against governments not respecting people’s rights. Period. Commend You for taking the vaccines including the booster shots and doing the right thing for your children. However, this is not about "people's rights". This is about a war on this virus that has been the deadliest in living memory. Canada is fortunate that we have a government that took this virus seriously and co-ordinated with the Premiers to shut the economies in order to deal with the virus. Unlike our neighbours in the South that was a mess under the previous POTUS with the messaging etc. Again, this mandate is for the protection of all Canadians, and not just the unvaccinated truckers. The majority of the Canadians are all for it. If the unvaccinated truckers cannot comply then they deserve what they got. But going to impede the daily lives of other Canadians in Ottawa and the Vaccinated Truckers trying to perform their normal duties across the Alberta border in reprehensible. Especially as it will have an impact on us Canadians with regards to supplies on the store shelves. PERIOD and have a goodnight!!

Actually we in Canada are lucky that we have had a leader that tackled this Pandemic in a very concise manner. Suppose Harper was still in charge, he would have treated the Pandemic just like Jason Kenney did so in Alberta that has infuriated the Albertans. So any criticism of Trudeau by the usual right wingers on this Board has zero substance!!
So one more time, since ppl need hearing aids to hear this, protests are not against the vaccines, but all mandates where unvaccinated are treated as second class citizens, and somehow that is ok.... well it is not there is no jjstification for it.... many of us are vaccinated like my self, but we have not lost our humanity and common sense because of it, and sure dont think that we are so.ething special...What about the 70% or so of truckers that agree with the vaccine mandate? Are their rights not being violated by these truckers blocking their passages across the border to deliver the necessities to both sides of the border?
