Glad to hear that you are finally admitting that climate change is happening.
Apart from Frankfooter's clearly established inability to read at an adult level, what this really demonstrates is that "climate change" is a meaningless phrase.
Let's put aside Franky's hilarious use of the word "finally" in response to quotes from more than six years ago (
). The reality is I have always acknowledged that the planet has experienced some warming since the 19th century.
In fact, pretty much everyone agrees with that, including the overwhelming majority of people who are dishonestly slandered as "deniers."
The debate is about the hypothesis of man-made global warming. Specifically, the UN-driven hypothesis that:
- There is something unusual about the warming that occurred in the 20th century.
- That man-made emissions have been the dominant cause of warming since 1950.
- That human activity poses an existential threat to the planet.
I question all of those positions, particularly given the clear mismatch between the predictions and the observed data.
(And, no, I don't intend to debate the mismatch in this thread. If someone wants to have that debate, start a new thread).
I also think it is bizarre to create energy policies based on computer-model predictions of the next 50 to 100 years. As recent history continues to show, it's impossible to predict how energy will be produced in the future and what scientific breakthroughs will continue to improve life on this planet.
The future is unknowable.

P.S. I'm sorry I had to explain all of that to the so-called "expert" on the science. It's really quite astonishing that Frankfooter has spent years copying and pasting talking points from various websites yet he doesn't understand even the most basic elements of the debate.
