I was banned? You may be mixing me up with someone else.
A terb, where you can say all sorts of retarded bullshit and then run to the mods the moment somebody challenges you on it and calls a spade a spade.
I've noticed a disturbing trend on here recently among multiple users using the mods to try and shut people down from challenging their nonsense.
It is flat out disgusting and repulsive.

It seems to be a new trend for the past couple of months and it's spreading. This threatening people with the mods to shut them up.

Its the new Terb rules which started last month.
So basically debate all you want, just dont attack the person you're debating personally

Now you're changing the subject to virions again. You also didnt asnwer my question.
...
Sorry but the claim you have been making for almost two years is that masks are useless because the pore size is larger than the diameter of virions. You've seen two years of sources that say infection is not caused by free virions but by respiratory droplets/aerosols. You've even posted links to those sources repeatedly.

That being the case, your pore size argument is completely flawed. Reality is all masks reduce the risk of infecting others if properly worn. Of course they're not all equal but an improperly worn N95 does not provide significantly more protection than a medical grade that is worn properly. An N95 can trap a greater quantity of inbound virions but that can be moderated by simply changing your surgical mask a couple times a day.

As I've said repeatedly, I'll follow the scientific process so if you can provide actual studies that say I'm wrong, I'll gladly admit it. Even if future studies do show infection by free virions, it doesn't change the fact that your claims are unsupported by science and are simply guesses.

When they mandated masks in Ontario in the Spring of 2020 they did so hoping to bring the numbers down.
It didnt do that. It made no impact whatsoever in reducing new case load
I believe cases in the first wave peaked mid May. "Coincidentally" store rules and general support for masks began mid-April.

I'm sur ethe source is too leftist for some but

Aerosols smaller than 5um pass right through most surgical masks.
These aerosols then evaporate very quickly and release virions (AKA free particles) in the air.
Here's a study for you that proves you can be infected with virions:

Now, are you going to apologize for being wrong??

An N95 can trap a greater quantity of inbound virions but that can be moderated by simply changing your surgical mask a couple times a day
Wait, so earlier you claimed virions dont exist outside aerosols, and you also said there's no proof you can be infected with virions.
Now you're changing your tune to "an N95 can trap a greater quantity of inbound virions but that can be moderated by simply changing your surgical mask".

I'm going to suggest you actually read the study. If the math is to daunting, at least read the abstract, introduction and conclusion.

They are very clear that people are emitting droplets (which masks catch), that the "very quickly" is a matter of hours, and in their conclusion, they specifically say masks can be an effective strategy for preventing droplets from even getting into the air.

Another own goal on your part.

It's a varient of when you give a legit critique of the Dear Orange Leader and someone responds with, herp derp, he is living in your head to try to shame people into stopping their comments about the former cheeto in chief. Of course if Obama said or did something equally noteworthy and special needs they would all be talking about Obama ama ama eh eh eh. He is still a public figure, he has a lot of sway on a major party, he might run again or have a role to play in who does run again. However if you comment he lives in your head? Fuck that fecal matter.

Although it is important not to make things personal. I knew a guy who was called a racist. Can you believe that personal attack. All because he said he believed some races are genetically inferior to others. Some people can be so mean. [1: I am being sarcastic, 2: It's a Jon Lanjoie bit]

Then you get the "Trump Derangement Syndrome" thing tossed at you as if again commenting on someone is automatically a sign of obsession. Same issues. Even if he wasn't still a major figure. I mean fuck people talk about chair girl, it isn't living in your head or a syndrome, Trump is just a comical and dangerous character.

Where is your truth? This sounds a lot like allegations and conjecture. Most studies show that masks are effective in curbing covid. Not 100% perfect, but significantly better than nothing. Remember, studies can have different results even though they study the same thing. How many times have we heard about a study saying drinking red wine or eating chocolate is good for you, only for it to be refuted a week later by a study saying its horrible for you.

Common sense, which tends to be in short supply around here, would tell you an airborne virus like covid would be harder to spread if it was impeded leaving someone or entering someone else...

now listen to liars:

“We contend that although the animal reservoir for SARS-CoV- 2 has not been identified and the key species may not have been tested, in contrast to other scenarios there is substantial body of scientific evidence supporting a zoonotic origin. Although the possibility of a laboratory accident cannot be entirely dismissed, and may be near impossible to falsify, this conduit for emergence is highly unlikely relative to the numerous and repeated human- animal contacts that occur routinely in the wildlife trade. Failure to comprehensively investigate the zoonotic origin through collaborative and carefully coordinated studies would leave the world vulnerable to future pandemics arising from the same hu- man activities that have repeatedly put us on a collision course with novel viruses.”

The truth is like the tortoise and a lie is like the hare. And we all know who won that race.
A lie will travel halfway around the world while the truth is just putting on it's shoes.
Even Shakespeare in the Merchant of Venice knew. "The truth will out."

Well I think this is something that most people who have been invested in this topic knew very early on.

Cloth masks and facsimile surgical masks which the overwhelming of the majority wear achieve next to no positive results. Great for virtue signaling and showing compliance though.

However properly fitted N95 masks do provide an adequate level of protection. Problem is as would be expected they are damn hard to breathe through.

Try going up 5 or 6 flights stairs with one on. Or wearing one doing an 8 hour shift at a job. Hardly practical.

And of course there's the other dilemma that no matter what mask you wear it either needs to be washed daily or replaced with a new one. There's not to many people adhering to that I can ensure you.

Science is now telling us cloth masks provide no protection and surgical very little. has to be at least n94-95

What part of that is a lie?

I do like you posting emails showing how they debated the origin with an open mind from the beginning, though.
It's good to see.
