That was brought to illustrate that the taxes are dealt between company accountants and revenue, and most of the businesses
try to minimize taxation which doesn't make them criminals (you brought the topic yourself as trump didn't pay his taxes or so)

The fact is that Trump has some very crooked dealings that can easily be exposed. At least he released his taxes, unlike Trump. However, this is the loophole Biden is trying supposedly to shut. I remember they arrested his accountant last year and charged him with improper use of taxable benefits or something.
Usually, if you have wrong expensing in your books they send you a request for audit to prove that it is legit, and if you fail
they simply send you the bill (that's what happened to me like 5 times). Nobody comes to arrest you for that, the Feds
obviously on a fishing expedition to make sure he will never be able to be a candidate again in any capacity.
