Well, the current crop of the American progressives do obsess about race and gender- they start every conversation by identifying their pronouns. They certainly have other goals, too.
The choice is between the party that obsesses about the great replacement or the party that tries to include everyone.
It's the easiest job in the world. You don't have be right. You don't have to accomplish anything. It's the perfect job for someone stupid. It doesn't prepare you for anything useful you might do later in life, such as solving the problems activists talk about so much.
