Hockey star Patrice "Leaf Killer" Bergeron's full name is Patrice Bergeron-Cleary and represents both his French and Irish heritage.
I met many of the descendants of those Irish orphans when I lived in Quebec. The Johnson name lives on in Quebec.

Can't mention Sawchuk without also mentioning Glenn Hall (now 90). It's amazing that the Red Wings had both Sawchuk and Hall in their system at the same time. What's also amazing is that the Black Hawks acquired two HOF goalies (Hall and Esposito) who were developed in another team's system.

Yes you can see a little mix in her features. A true Danish female is quite more fair skinned, blonder? hair and lighter blue eyes. Very similar to my Danish daughter-in-law who just had dinner with us this evening.

Regarding rednecks...it appears to have come from Bolshevism and the Appalachian Mine strikers who wore red bandanas. I first heard that in a Michael Moore flic of 2016 in which he also predicted a Trump win in the upcoming 2016 election as the last gasp of White is Right America. The changing demographics are having an effect on American and Canadian politics. The American Democrats are running candidates based on the fact that they look like their electorate and not on their competence. Meanwhile, Harris, AOC and Omar are disasters.
In Canada the Greens chose a leader who ticked all the boxes and then they fired her. The Liberals picked a candidate in Spadina-Fort York and then they kicked him out of the party. Plus, the liberals are accepting only female candidates in some ridings.

I am not the person to ask as my parents both being Ukrainian but born in Canada moved to Toronto when I was very young and were the first of their many siblings to do so. They basically spoke English at home. I learned Ukrainian by visiting my grandparents, aunts and uncles in Sask. many times and my mother sent me to Ukrainian school in Toronto on weekends which I hated. The languages are both Slavic but different but many words are similar . I read that Ukrainian and Russian were more similar.
No problem. I was just curious. That Ukrainian/Polish girl/woman I met many many years ago would switch to a foreign language when it was obvious she was pissed at something. I never understood a word she said (which might have been a good thing, LOL).
Now, did I ever tell you about the Italian woman?
