Definitely an educated perspective. They just a regular season team , they can't played playoffs

I happen to agree, this team gets out-hit game after game. Come playoffs, the Leafs will not go deep. Let’s not get started with Marner, unless his game changes his contract becomes a lot of dead weight. Sure he is an amazing talent, great at potting in that empty netter (most times)They just a regular season team , they can't played playoffs
Yup, incredibly the Leafs are on a pretty good run right now. One that very few predicted early on based on their performance. Even fewer are predicting it will last. Even so, it's nice to see. Dubas must be enjoying the calm before the eventual shit storm. A reprieve just before Christmas is always a welcome surprise.Leafs have won 9 out of last 10...Shanahan better hurry up and fire Dubas before this continues...
So you don't think the Leafs will win 9 out of 10 for the season...thanks for the insight.Yup, incredibly the Leafs are on a pretty good run right now. Not sure what the above babble means.... "9 out of 10 for the season" ????So you don't think the Leafs will win 9 out of 10 for the season...thanks for the insight.
A pace of winning 9 out of 10 for the season...wow, that had to explained? Do you get it now?Not sure what the above babble means.... "9 out of 10 for the season" ????
Thanks for the insight.
That's hardly an issue...So Leafs pick up Kyle Clifford, and Ilya Mikheyev will be back healthy in a few weeks. On an already crowded roster, who winds up without a chair, and how does that potentially affect the team's chemistry?
Yeah, guys love being healthy scratches. Great for the morale. No one's ever bothered by that because they're all just good ole' boys who want what's best for the team. No matter how far from home they are, or how heavily incentive-driven their contracts might be. You've clearly never played anything more than pond hockey. But we all already knew that anyway. That's hardly an issue...
Exactly. And sometimes that might be enough to motivate them to play better the next time they have a chance. Internal competition.Yeah, guys love being healthy scratches.
It's not a high priority to give a shit about the feelings of the 14th forward...if the player is a disruption in that role he'll be in the AHL the next day...you are wrong almost every time you express an opinion.Yeah, guys love being healthy scratches. All those bottom roster positions have small $ contracts and aren't hard to move to another team or the AHL.Exactly. And sometimes that might be enough to motivate them to play better the next time they have a chance. Internal competition.
If you want to remain completely sober while watching a Leaf game, play the following drinking game: Take a drink every time Pierre Engvall successfully completes a pass to a teammate.
I've done some coaching at university and junior level.Sorry to tell you, but that's not how team chemistry and morale works on a professional level hockey team. And since you asked, the highest I ever achieved as a player was stints in the minors with the Utica Devils and Baltimore Skipjacks. Also did some coaching in the QMJHL and in the pro Swiss League. Not NHL obviously, but serious hockey nonetheless.
That's not how chemistry and player morale works on a professional sports franchise, in particular pro hockey, and yes, I'm speaking from experience. It's not a high priority to give a shit about the feelings of the 14th forward...if the player is a disruption in that role he'll be in the AHL the next day...you are wrong almost every time you express an opinion.
Anyway, where did you play professional hockey?
Is chemistry and morale suffering because Justin Holl isn't in the lineup? Or Travis Dermott earlier? That's not how chemistry and player morale works on a professional sports franchise, in particular pro hockey, and yes, I'm speaking from experience.
Your comments about opinions are so predictable. It seems that in your eyes, no one ever has a valid thought or opinion on any topic other than you. Same thing, every thread, every topic. It must be wonderful for you to be the universe's all-knowing oracle of wisdom and insight.
How many hot pockets did your mom have to make you before you earned full keyboard warrior status?
I saw him make one in the 1st. It was about 2 feet in length. If you want to remain completely sober while watching a Leaf game, play the following drinking game: Take a drink every time Pierre Engvall successfully completes a pass to a teammate.
