Then you complain when guys keep taking shots at you....If Matthews is a great player at minus 2. Imagine how much greater he would be at minus 4 or minus 6.
Was being facetious. Thought it was obvious. Then you complain when guys keep taking shots at you....
People who are knowledgeable and respectable do not take shots at darts. Then you complain when guys keep taking shots at you....
It wasn't obvious at all considering all the posts about +/- and other stats after 13 games. Was being facetious. Thought it was obvious.
Was a flippant remark about a member's comment that plus/minus is irrelevant/unimportant. I think that plus/minus does have value but just one factor among player evaluation.
And Esposito totally outplayed him in the 1972 Canada/Soviet series both playing behind the exact same players.Ok, back to goalies. Dryden and Esposito had pretty much parallel careers. So, would one rank them on a par? Dryden has the better stats and more trophies.
BTW: Esposito's name is on the Cup once as a Canadien.
Yes, too bad the Habs couldn't keep Esposito. The Habs also had to let Vachon go when he demanded a trade after losing the starting job to Dryden. All 3 are in the HOFAnd Esposito totally outplayed him in the 1972 Canada/Soviet series both playing behind the exact same players.

I really don't care, they were both great goalies.
Dart doesn't know that the team that scores more than the opponent wins.I proved my point. A goalie on a team with a high flying offense does not necessarily need a good GAA or SV% to win a lot of games.
I think Dart missed this post. He's now applying it to Matthews.Wow...Mitch Marner is a point a game player thru his first five seasons, but by all means, lets evaluate and trade him for the first nine games of this season...what a reasonably fair way to look at it.
Which one of those guys played for the Leafs? This is a Maple Leafs thread.Ok, back to goalies. Dryden and Esposito had pretty much parallel careers. So, would one rank them on a par? Dryden has the better stats and more trophies.
Take Rogie Vachon, his stats with the Canadiens are better as a Hab than as a King or Wings.
BTW: Esposito's name is on the Cup once as a Canadien.
Going back to this is a Maple Leafs thread.Ok, getting back to plus/minus.
You have to name a good Leaf goalie first. After all, wasn't it you who brought Fuhr, Smith and Hasek into this thread? So, I now get a plus 30 (10 for each goalie).Which one of those guys played for the Leafs? This is a Maple Leafs thread.
She's a young lady now. It pains me to hear her hit the high notes in the Star Spangled Banner.Haven’t seen that little Maria Lopez cutie sing for a while
