What it really was ..was Vlad giving away another at bat....meek grounder to pitcher on first pitch....a pitcher he had never faced before. The batting coach (i am not sure we have one.....j/k) should be on his case
LOL.......glad I'm not watching the game. Just checked the score and Ryu is shitting the bed

Correct. I'd guarantee that he is here only until at least the end of 2022. But unless the team tanks next year (under 86 wins) it will be longer.

I hope that the battery does not run out on that clock before he's gone.
I think he will be replaced before 2022 spring training.

Let me know if any of the sports books have odds on that. I'd readily bet against it.

If they do fire him according to your time frame, it won't be very long after this season ends.

Some of the stink is on him, it won't be long after the season. You don't pay big money for guys like Springer and then use a AAA manager.

Ryu is what you call a fake ace. In big games and against good teams he gets destroyed
Except for 2014 and 2019, his playoff record isnt great either. 3-3 with a 4.54 ERA

If you are management, you don't hand pick a manager for a long term plan of being a contender and then dump him after 3 years, when the team has improved every year.

Not saying that he's a fantastic manager, but ain't no way that they are firing him after this season. If the team regresses in 2022, then there is more of a chance that you will be happy.

I would like to know the Bluejays record when wearing the Light Blue outfit, I swear its a losing record. By the way did you know its the starting pitcher who decides what uniform they wear. Yes i even google it and its true

We need Yankees and BoSox to go on a little 2 or 3-game losing streak this weekend

Is Espinal hurt? Is there any other reason why Mike Smith is starting? Espinal should be playing every day! oops as Smith almost homers.

I don't like Mike Smith, he swings for the fences on every pitch, even with 2 strikes with runners on base, he needs more seasoning in AAA.
Yes, Espinal should be playing every game, good defender and hits for average.

With the season on the line, you start Smith and Palacios over Espinal and Grichuk??? And for that matter, Springer. Charlie should just say were not a playoff team, were a fun team and everybody gets to play just like little league.

The Yankees starting pitching has been terrific the last few weeks. That's been the difference.

Plus you add two big left handed bats in Gallo and Rizzo combined with a red hot Stanton and they are a juggernaut.

Still they are weak in closing. Chapman has been awful since they cut down on the sticky stuff.

And the funny thing is that they are still 4 games behind the Rays even after this streak.

The Rays have been defying logic for years now.....

Good run Jays. But these recent losses to the lowly Tigers and Nationals is the death blow to 2021.

I agree with Espy and Randy being in there.

I believe that sometimes the GM will have some input as to the lineup if they want to see what some of their prospects have. It's possible that Atkins told Montoyo to give it a try with those guys against a weaker team like the Tigs.

Just sayin' that it's possible.

The Jays are 2 for their last 38 with runners in scoring position. That's a BA of .053

You could have a staff of 5 Sandy Koufaxes and you ain't winning many games with that hitting.

And they're doing it with one of the smallest payrolls in MLB
