Top priority for the Jays in the off-season is to re-sign Semien. You’ve got to believe he’s enjoying his time with the team this season, so maybe if the Jays offer is competitive Marcus will re-up.

Hope so. It will be tough. Semien gets 125 million for 5 years from a club next year. Jays will be looking to up their payroll but I don't by how much and what they want to spend it on. They also have a lot coming off the books but not much. There's also a ton of teams that have a lot coming off the books that will be looking to spend:

so vlad ON SECOND IN extra innings

why not put in pinch runner?

vlad has not been hitting lately

he was sacrified to third and could not score on the groundout where a pinch runner could have
A faster runner would have been thrown out easily., ball was shsrply hit to infielder, even if there was a run and hit play on.
Besides, Vladdy has above average speed.

but scenario could have been different and vlad is in slump so no loss in pulling him

And if the Jays tie it, and the game continues, Vladdy’s bat is out of the lineup. Big game today, 3 out of 4 vs. Boston is much nicer than a split. They then fly out for a west coast trip, one of the highlights should be Manoah vs. Otani.

Bichette not in lineup today, out day to day with shin contusions, those gazillion foul offs finally taking toll on him.

You absolutely do not take Vlad out in that situation. That's insane bro. So he's a bit cold, if the jays fail to score the runner, you've taken out one of the best bats in baseball...lol. If they do hit, more then likely he scores anyway

he is very cold so he is not the best hitter in baseball

he will get his mojo back but not at next at bat

it is a gradual process

i assume pitchers have figured his weakness now he has to adjust

simple as that

there are several scenarios where a better runner scores

think outside the box

That win was huuuuge! Big comeback. I think this season is starting to duplicate 2015, Berrios may be a better acquisition that David Price. Romano bringing it at 101 mph. Springer has been the best hitter in the league since the all-star game, you could look it up. Hang on Jays fans, this looks like it will be a lot of fun!

George Springer signed with the Jays, he says he likes hitting in Skydome. Vic Romano brung the heat!

Ok see you Red Sox.

Matt Barnes of Boston had three decisions, (one win, two losses), on two consecutive days. I wonder if any other pitcher has done that in the 'live ball' era?

Good win but thoroughly unimpressed with Boston. Don't know how these guys with that rag tag pitching staff and essentially three good hitters (Bogaerts, Martinez, Devers) led the AL East for much of the year.

Pitching Barnes 3 times in two days was plain stupid. Today his velocity was down significantly and was very hittable, as was proven.

Imagine if Springer was not injured at season's start, they may not be in first place, but they probably have one the WC spots.

He's has 14 HR in 43 games, that extrapolates to 52 HRs in a full season.

yeah I thought so too, but maybe I'm not familiar with the rest of Boston's pen. Maybe it's gotten to the point where Cora can't trust anyone else because all the other arms suck. IDK..
