Disgusting English Hooligans. When are they going to accept that it is only a game??
7000 Italians vs 48,000 English, good to know that the "English disease" is alive and well. This will not go unanswered. Milan Djokovic was asked whom he supported, he answered diplomatically "I'm a football fan". Of course he's a supporter of The Azzurri.

English hooligans don't do so well in a fair fight.

Didn't know Nicolo Barella was such a comic, is he future Ballon D'or winner? He played a big role in Inter's Scudetto and The Azzurri's European Cup.

I didn't know who the hot babe in the black dress was at the official ceremony at the Quirinale (Government House) in Rome. She's Valentina Vezzali, Minister of Sport and Culture, six time Olympic Gold Medalist in fencing, a sport non-existent here but taken very seriously in Italy.

Considering his legendary Italy rant of 2017 and calling the cockroach Messi a fraud, it's time to give the last word to the Mighty Sid.

Southgate's legacy will rest on the decisions he made in this game.
Having said that, England has always shown confidence in their younger players,
they give them a lot of responsibility if they've earned it. On the one hand I like that about them,
on the other it may be a burden that leaves permanent scars.

Fans start PETITIONS calling for England vs Italy to be replayed because Euro 2020 final was not 'fair' and claiming Italy's captain should have been sent off for 'assaulting' Bukayo Saka!

No way that such a petition will go anywhere. Problem is that Denmark could then raise the alarm that the Sterling's Penalty should not have stood. Other controversies in the Tournament would be raised as well.

But I agree that such a deliberate foul on Saka should have warranted a Red Card. He was the last defender and that prevented a goal scoring opportunity.

Why wasn't he given a red card for it. Zidane got one for a head butt

Gee... I hope the match was not fixed by gambling syndicates... I would hate to think refs were anything but honest blokes.

Not sure why a red card was not issued for that tackle / goal scoring opportunity.
When a foul of that nature happens outside the box, it's up the the referee discretion. There was no intent to injure on Chiellini's part, a red card would have been harsh. Unlike Jordan Pickford's scissor tackle on Virgil van Dijk, that's an automatic red card and a penalty kick in Italy. I read the petition and thoroughly enjoyed it, especially the part about England's black players being treated like slaves...someone is over-compensating.

As for the transfer market, the EPL have all the money. It may be just for show, Damsgaard and Locatelli have said they don't want to leave Italy.

I don't think so at all. It was a deliberate foul, but it was far from the box and not a goal scoring opportunity. That is a yellow card.

I think Chiellini took him down in such dramatic fashion, not to prevent a goal, but to show him who was the boss.
