Berrettini in the Wimbledon Final, is Sunday going to be a Wapping Day?

Sampdoria have rejected the $24 million opening bid plus Andrea Conti for Mikkel Damsgaard. Barcelona (where he'll ride the pine) and Tottenham are still in the wings.

It could work well for if Lorenzo Colombo is ready to claim his destiny.
Damshinho wants to stay in Italy.

I’m seeing a lot of attempts to discredit England especially by pro EU, anti Brexit bitters. You had the Danish journalist mocking Britain’s covid death toll over a football match, you have conspiracy theory pundits in Italy and Spain saying the tournament is rigged to favour England. The Spanish pundit even went as far as to say London shouldn’t be hosting the final because of Brexit. It’s the European cup, not the European Union cup. Ursula Von Der Leyen broke the neutrality stance and is openly backing Italy because she’s spiteful about Brexit.

England have had many decisions go against them in the past that VAR would have overturned and seen them progress further into tournaments. Maradonnas hand ball goal, 2 Sol Campbell winners in 1998 and 2004 against Argentina and Portugal, Frank Lampards equalizer against Germany that was 6 feet over the line. Now they finally had a controversial call go in their favour and all of a sudden the whole tournament is rigged.

I know people also like to talk about the 1966 “did it cross the line in extra time?” But they also conveniently leave out the fact that it only went to extra time because of a last minute German equalizer from a cross where the ball went out of play. If VAR was around then, England win 2-1 in normal time.

Since the introduction of VAR, England have made it to 2 semi finals (if you count the nations league) and now a final.

If we’re playing the discredit game It works both ways, Italy’s wins over both Belgium and Spain were tainted by cheating and dirty tactics. Immoble diving and faking injury, which ruined Vermalens position. If Immoble didn’t cheat, Vermallen would have already been in position and not scrambling to get back and barely being able to plant his feet before the Italian player was already making the move around him. Then you had Chiellini beating the shit out of pint size Alba during the coin toss, pushing his fist into his face then bear hugging him and lifting him off the ground, which no doubt affected the mindset of both teams. The only clean win either team has had against a top nation so far is England’s win again Germany.

Completely agree with your post.

Thus check
to see what happen at the coin toss. Chiellini's reaction was perfect. He was trying to get cheated on. It surely gave Italy a little edge for the shoot out ;)

@Gibbons#1 hasn't chimed in in a while and he's the England super fan here.
Especially with them making the finals and he's been quiet.

Crispy Crunch your rant is duly noted.

However it is economic suicide to voluntarily leave the EU single market. London's GDP is eroding, Boris Johnson doesn't seem to mind as long as it gets him votes everywhere else. London was the world leader in financial and insurance services, now it's becoming a backwater. The future picture doesn't look good.

They are fine, they don’t want to just trade with the EU. The future looks amazing mate. The EU is constipated. Anyway, stay on topic. It’s coming home.

The free kick. Attackers were too close to the defending wall and against fifa rules.
The referee did nothing about lasers being pointed at the Danish keeper during the whole game. He was repeatedly told about it in the first half.
Also, there were two balls on the pitch during Sterling's famous run and dive.

They should give Sterling an Oscar for his rendition of diving. Then Her Majesty can award him the Knighthood!!
But in England there are numerous calls to award the country a "Bank Holiday". Equivalent of our Statutory Holiday. Good Luck with that!!
GO ENGLAND GO!!

Three members of Italy's staff have tested positive for Covid. Thats staff and NOT players.

I have a feeling any positive tests of players will be swept under the rug if they show no symptoms. The show must go on

Agreed but current EU rancour is more to do with Covid vaccine supplies than Brexit.
Happy that England get to play Italy as Spain would have been tougher, and were very unlucky not to go through.

Here's an interesting story. By now Alphonzo Davies story is well known, Musa Juwara less so.

At the age of 12, he left his native Gambia making the hazardous journey across the Mediterranean as a migrant. This video was made before he was promoted to top flight football with Bologna.

Musa's story.
