They're the most impressive team I've ever watched from England.

I agree that England have never looked like they had a fully balanced team since the 1966 World Cup. The present squad seems to have the strength in all positions. The weakest I would say is the goalkeeper. Pickford gives the ball away cheaply and does not seem to have the full confidence although he made one or two great saves. Otherwise, Kane is one of the most prolific goal scorers although he has been far quieter than when he performs at club level. The two youngsters at midfield in Rice and Phillips have really impressed and seem to break up all the attacks of the opposing squads. Sterling has been a real playmaker despite that controversial dive to win that penalty. Grealish has been one of the most influential substitutes. I think that England will win it like I predicted from Day 1. Most on this Forum stated that France would be the Champions.

Vermaleen? Reacted to Immoble’s attempt at cheating by saying something to the ref and that split second was enough for him to not get back into position and close the goal scorer down. The TSN analysts Cauldwell and Kilbane did a whole analysis on it, saying VAR should be ruling goals like that out.

be right ream you out. He took a tantrum and got caught because he thought the ball was going down field but got intercepted
and came back right away.
Second and most important, Vermaleen was totally in position, he stood right in front of Barella, Barella caught him flat footed
and pulled the ball past him to get a clean shot on goal.
Vermaleen should be embarrassed, three guys around Barella, he was directly in front of him and Barella still
came out with the ball to score.

It works both ways.

The adorable Giorgio got caught out when Morata set up the give and go. Barella tried to cover but it was too late with Morata getting a clear SOG. Because he plays in Serie A, the Spanish Press proclaimed that he was unworthy to lead the line. With his exemplary play, he told them to put an empanada in it.

Italy is well known for being masters of dirty tactics like that. For the last 10 minutes of the match there was only 2 minutes of actual play because they were all rolling around on the floor faking injuries ( cheating). It wasnt me who came up with the analysis about that goal it was the professional analysts. Ive seen several articles with the same position as Cauldwell and Kilbaine. Vermalen was the only player that Barella had to go around after he scrambled desperately to get back into position with his mind elsewhere from the Immoble dive.

I agree that Vermalen should play until the whistle but it’s a natural human reaction to get annoyed at such a blatant and pathetic attempt to con the ref.

Are you condoning that kind of blatant diving and injury faking? (cheating) It sounds like you are but only if you support the team.

It was questionable penalty but then again watch the replay. Why the hell that danish player put his leg forward like this. He did not touch Sterling that hard but he touched him, and did not touch the ball. But why did he do that there was 3 other Danish player in front of Sterling. He had no other option but to fall. The defender just had to let him go. Stupid play.

it was called from the second danish defender who pushed him over with his hips. It was soft yes, however, as a class striker you force the ref into a decision and even after VAR it wasn’t a clear and obvious error from the ref.

I am really hoping that England can pull this thing out but Italy are a crafty squad who have been there many times before. This is England's first championship match since 1966.

This may have already been said - however if soccer introduced penalties for “diving and theatrics” - Italy (and some other teams) would not win a game on tactics like this - they would have to win on talent (and het they do have allot of talent - they should use their Soccer skills). A penalty like in Rugby - go stand in the “sin bin” for a few. Enough of rolling around like you’ve been shot then seconds later WOW a miracle cure.
Imagine if a hockey player behaved this way - his own team would punch him out!!! Ha ha ha

It could very well be that Uefa decided that it was Englands turn. UK is afterall the most profitable market for football.

For that reason I predict England will win.

Lol. Denmark’s goals shouldn’t have stood. Their attackers were too close the the English defenders but the ref never called it. England and Italy are in the final because they are the best two teams standing. It’s really that simple.
