If this is all the London police have, then they have nothing at all to support hate crime or terrorism charges. Maybe they have something that's actually substantive, but they have declined to release that information. However, it should strike you as odd that journalists are scampering around after the fact, desperately trying to find strained support for a conclusion the police reached within a single day of the deaths.

When I read about the terrorism charge my first
thought is charge of hate crime is most obvious. I have no idea
why terrorism is more fitting for the crime.

Add the media to the list of people who aren't nearly as smart as dutch oven.
That included all the judges who looked at the election litigation cases, none of whom understood the law as well as dutch so came up with the wrong decisions.
Add in the jurors in the Arbery and James Fields cases, who either didn't have access to the evidence dutch did but most likely just aren't as smart as him.
And definitely add in both of Dunning and Kruger, clearly they had no idea of how the mind works.
