We do know that the perp told a cab driver to call the cops on himself, spouted 'slogans', may have had swastikas on his shirt and told the cab driver to videotape him.

We also know that this won't stop you from trying to claim it wasn't a racist act of terrorism.
go here and read the comments

It's video of the vigil that took place a day or two ago in london.
If you scroll through the comments you can see white supremacists saying things like 'praise kek' (this is the alt right diety), and other shit comments. As if they are glorifying the guy that killed these people. Also that cab driver was saying he was chanting some kind of slogan but couldn't make out what he was saying.

I have no doubt in my mind that guy was radicalized online. That kek guy is a nazi white supremacist with the ideology that muslims have ruined europe, they are invaders, and that they need to be squashed bc once they become the dominant demographic they will take over, make everyone wear burqas and implement sharia law. they are that fucked.
just go read the comments, you'll see. These people are sick to put it mildly.

It looks like the comments have been edited since, its all condolences for the first few pages.
Darts posted something from his parents divorce that suggested he had anger/mental health issues.
That doesn't explain why he decided to target Muslims, that's got to be from some online thing.
Considering the number of posters here trying to minimize this thing, those attitudes are way too common.

Whichever one is true, the police were very reckless to conclude a motive that quick. A is what the police reported as the motive. The fact that he was not armed and voluntarily gave himself up makes this seem unlikely. I would consider B to be the most likely of the three
There's no real downside, even if the cops made a mistake. In 2021 you can stereotype people who are white all you want.

The problem with identifying the act as racially motivated terrorism is that, whether that turns out to be true or not,: a) trolls will push the buttons of liberals by pretending to support the attack (those kek comments are undoubtedly trolls), and b) real white supremacists will try to take credit for the event.

I have no doubt in my mind that guy was radicalized online.
You shouldn't have even concluded yet that he was radicalized at all. You should be waiting for reliable evidence to be shared by the police/crown.

London police have called the crime an intentional act and said the victims “were targeted because of their Islamic faith.”

Investigators say there is evidence this was “a planned, premeditated act, motivated by hate,” but have revealed few details.

And this.
"In an interview with Global News, Chief Steve Williams of the London Police Service was reluctant to disclose the evidence police had gathered, but said it was quickly apparent Nathaniel Veltman had targeted a Muslim family.

And this
"

The attack that killed four members of a Muslim family was an example of Canada’s “most deadly extremist threat,” the prime minister’s national security adviser said on Tuesday.

In a speech to the Centre for International Governance Innovation, Vincent Rigby began by addressing the alleged vehicle attack he said had targeted a family “based on their Islamic faith.”

“Ideologically motivated violent extremism, or IMVE, in particular poses a growing threat to Canadian national security, and is our most deadly extremist threat,” Rigby said later in his address.

“And sadly we’ve seen this play out in recent days.”

IMVE is the term now used by the federal government to describe violence fueled by far-right and other extremist beliefs, as opposed to religiously or politically-motivated violence".

What the police, media, and advocacy groups "say" isn't always correct. You should want to know whether they have evidence to support their conclusions, especially if you are going to demand that any action be taken as a result of the incident.

So are you saying that Doug Ford is clueless when he categorically made this statement:

Doug Ford calls London, Ont., attack on Muslim family ‘an act of terrorism’

Are you now switching on to your Bud Plug hat?

Not the first time Doug has acted before he had the facts. In fact, there's been an entire pandemic of errors like that.

What dutch oven thinks is 'correct' almost never is.
Take the election litigation thread where he still argues that the courts were wrong 61 times in a row and that he knew better than the jurors and the judges.

Veltman sounds like a Dutch name.

Actually, it's Prussian, but that would mean you'd find that name in the Netherlands as well. Does that help you weave your magical tapestry?

Dutch, no.

Dutch and Plattdeutsch are different languages, albeit related. You would find variants of the same name, but the name would not be exactly the same. I'm guessing i.e. - "Veltman" = Dutch. "Feldmann" = German.

"Feld" = German for field or countryside. "Veldt" = Dutch or Afrikaans.

Correct.

One correction: they don't speak Plattdeutch in Preussen. Plattdeutsch is the language where I come from, areas of Germany and Denmark.

C'mon, Dutch. How do you know those kek worshippers are all "undoubtedly trolls"? Some of them must be genuine kekans. The love of Kek is a pure, all-encompassing love among the Hitler worshippers.

Share your kek insights with us.

I'm guessing Brandenburg - which is all that is left of historical Prussia - has its own dialect then?
