Clearly Darts, shack is obsessed with you and everything you post. You must be pretty deep in his head for him to respond to pretty much every and any post you make. Guess he just can't let it go. ;)
Very sad for him indeed.

Fortunately, the Board does have many intelligent, rational and civil posters like yourself.

His salary?
You raise a good point Costanza. What is the financial penalty for postseason games. It can’t be salary .., that is regular season. Would it be pro-rated playoff bonus that is paid out by the league based on playoff success.

Which is not that much.

How many times has Kadri been suspended by this point?
I am thinking 5

He is a cheap dirty player

2013 3 games
2016 4 games
2019 rest of playoffs
2021 8 games

Dud is a repeat offender no way an arbitrator lets him off
And this is not even counting the fines he got for other issues (eg the diving incidents)

He'll use PA lawyers to challenge on his behalf for free and see if he can reduce the financial hit somehow. For him, I think an 8 game suspension is worth roughly about $200K USD in lost salary, so every game he can get it reduced is worth around $25K USD to him.

NHL players do not receive a salary for the playoffs.
Their last 'paycheque' was at the end of the regular season.
*Players do get money for every round won (from the league).

I'm not sure that his postseason bonuses would be affected.
That information would be buried somewhere deep in the C.B.A.

I'm still working my way through an audiobook on Risk Management.

Actually, come the playoffs, players continue to receive their salaries based on their annual contracts, since contracts are paid from July 1 to June 30.

NHL players do not get paid a separate salary for playing in the postseason. League rules actually prohibit NHL teams from paying their players bonuses for making the playoffs and winning the Stanley Cup. Only players on entry-level contracts and those over the age of 35 are permitted to have bonuses for playoff performances.

That said, players still receive compensation for a playoff appearance. The NHL and NHL Players’ Association (NHLPA) agree to set aside a playoff bonus pool to be distributed to each playoff team based on how far they advance. It’s referred to in Article 28 of the NHL Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) as the Player Fund.

EDIT: It appears gcostanza finds this post so funny, he tagged it with a laughing emoticon, which tells me he thinks I made it all up. Here's the link where the post was taken from verbatim.

https://thehockeywriters.com/nhl-player-playoff-compensation/

EDIT 2: Seems my earlier estimate (in post #2014 above) of what an eight game suspension will cost Kadri was in fact a little light. Department of Player Safety indicates that in cases of player suspensions:

1) Non-repeat offenders lose salary based on the number of days in the season. For example, if there are 190 days in a season, a three game suspension would cost a non-repeat offender 3/190ths of his average salary.

2) Repeat offenders lose salary based on the number of games in a season (82). For example, a three game suspension would cost a repeat offender 3/82nds of his average salary.

Since this season had 56 games, by the reasoning above an eight game suspension for Kadri based on his $2M annual salary for this season would cost him roughly $286K USD. Where I am not entirely sure is what Kadri's pro-rated salary for the 56 game schedule might actually be. My understanding of the negotiated deal for a 56-game schedule specified no proration of player salaries, but not 100% certain, so if you do assume there is for some reason, and take the pro-rate linearly, his salary falls to $1.36M for this year and therefore the suspension costs him about $195K USD.

He does that a lot (maybe more than any member on the Board).

On the other hand, he gives a thumbs up to almost all of Shack's posts.

That should tell us something.

You're giving gcostanza far too much credit.
He wouldn't have been capable of interpreting what you wrote because it involves reading and math skills.

If you follow gcostanza's posts, he clearly hasn't mastered grade 5 math fundamentals, he has very poor comprehension of the articles he regurgitates and has trouble interpreting the main points, and his use of laughing symbols where they don't apply is reflective of his 10 or 11 year old maturity level.

So he's not posting a laughing symbol because he thinks you're making it up; he doesn't have a clue what you're saying so that's the only argument he can muster.

Truthfully I hope he quits trolling adult websites on his mom's computer before she busts him.

not always sure...
Auston Matthews is a finalist for the Lady Byng.
It kind of stands out amongst the finalists that Jacob Slavin averaged 23 minutes a game and took only one minor penalty this season, as a defenceman.
Given how effective he is, that's eye-popping.

It's voted on by sports writers though, so it's a popularity contest usually rewarding goals scored.
