It’s apparent that most of you guys have never never played hockey at a high level. I did. I fought mike pecca and Florida panthers tough guy Shawn antoski. I know what I’m talking about
I played hockey at a fairly high level and the league I played in was tough. The last 10-15 minutes of every one of our practices was no sticks no pucks. I don't agree with your take. The rules have been changed you have to abide by them. No hits to the head. Kadri targeted Faulk high and he extended his arm during the hit. It was similar to the Stevens on Lindros hit but in that instance Lindros was hunched low and looking down at the puck when Stevens hit him. Faulk was looking at the net. I've re watched both plays numerous times.

Wow lots of comments on here I can't keep up with them all. Here's my take on the series after having had absorbed the shock of losing to a clearly inferior team like the Habs after being up 3-1.

Matthews and Marner were horrible in games 5-7. In Marner's case it was just a case of playing poorly. In Matthews case it was an exhibit in a sheer lack of effort and determination. As they say your best players have to be your best players to win. And ours weren't.
I thought overall Nylander played well in the series, although much better in games 1-4 than 5-7.
T.J. Brodie was our best player. Stud d man. Great move by Dubas in getting him.
Losing Muzzin for half of game sex and game seven really hurt.
Not having our captain definitely hurt us.
Foligno clearly was not healthy he was so ineffective out there.
Simmonds played so weak out there, it was embarrassing to watch at times. His skills have deteriorated rapidly.
Price was in a zone but what did we do to get bodies in front of him? Nobody went to the net and disrupted.
Despite the injuries I still cannot believe we lost this series. It is an inexcusable loss. Someone needs to be held to account.

I don't see where kadri extended his arm. He simply turned his shoulder and that's exactly what a body check is. Anyway, my point is more questioning the stupidity of the rule. The game is going way to fast for a guy to try and body check someone with no incidental contact to head area like that. Take checking out of the game if that's the case.

Shack......

It doesn't matter what you say. It matters what you do. No matter what you will continue to watch them, pay for a ticket, wear their merch, display their merch. Be a passive eyeball for their advertising, actively promote them by wearing jerseys in public. Defend or dissect it doesn't matter to them.
They were fun to watch this year.
Haven't been to a game in at least 10 years.
Don't have a Leafs jersey or hat or flag or key chain or mug or jock strap. As such I...
Don't have anything to display.
I turn off all commercials.

You made a lot of assumptions about me and you just showed that you know nothing about me.

Me, I didn't watch a game all year. Had to listen to it from friends online. In normal times I will now take the seat with shit sight lines to the bar tv if we are out. No merch displayed. None worn except old ratty for work outside in the yard. They gain nothing from me.
All of this somehow makes you knowledgeable? You say these things because you somehow think they make you smarter and superior. I say just that you are smug and for no apparent reason. You were silent all through the 100 pages of this thread while they were winning. You only come out of your basement when it is safe for you to criticize, in hindsight. What a brave man.

The way you predicted the last US election after Bernie lost really shows how smart and superior you are. Your predictions were a joke and you got laughed at.

Why are you even reading this thread let alone pretending that you have something to contribute.

He's taken his case to a separate arbitrator and I hope he wins.

So what would you consider a "win"?
His own player's association supported a 4 game suspension - do you think the arbitrator will reduce the suspension to zero games when even the NHLPA thinks Kadri is an asshole and that the hit was dirty, illegal, and warranted a suspension?

Bullshit.....you wear yer Jersey and I highly doubt you turn off the commercials. You yell at the screen and turn on sports radio to yell at it too.

Lets keep politics to that section shall we......you don't need to be obsessive in both places. Bad enough in one.

And you have your Leafs obsession here. Anyway why would I come in the thread when I don't give them my time anymore. I just stopped in to remind everyone, like yourself, that you are wasting your time hoping for the win.

He gets most of his money back.

Hey Butler1000, you deserve a lot of credit for trying to reason with Shack.

The latest word from Shanny and Dubas (yesterday's press conference) is they are happy with the core. Status quo with maybe some changes around the edges. Apparently, Marner's full no movement clause kicks in in year 5 and 6.

More feedback from the unwashed masses.

You're nuts, taking your fantasies about me and just talking out of your ass.

And you just stopped in to trumpet what you imagine is your superiority. Stick to the politics forum to get ridiculed because you are completely out of your element in the sports section. The fact that you don't watch and never post in sports is proof that you have zero credibility.

Go Bernie Go (Very similar to Go Leafs Go). All the Democratic supporters will abandon the party because Bernie lost and will vote Repug. You could not have been more wrong if you tried.😂 😅;)

Clearly Darts, shack is obsessed with you and everything you post. You must be pretty deep in his head for him to respond to pretty much every and any post you make. Guess he just can't let it go. ;)

This is the worst possible answer Shanny and Dubas could have given. Really not very encouraging for next season, that's for sure. Same ole' Leafs....

Shack is home alone, old and grumpy. He takes it seriously. Its his only means of social interaction, even pre pandemic.
