Anyone else noticing the excessive amount of cross-checking in the back going on? Seems ridiculous that virtually none of it is being called unless it happens to drive the checked player face-first into the boards from behind. In front of the net though, it's a damn free-for-all. I like the rough aspects of the game, but cross-checking in the back or across the upper arms from the side just seems like a cheap shot.

I've noticed that too. It seems like if you happen to be anywhere near the net when the play stops, a dman is cross checking you across the back. Even in game 1 Hyman was coming off the ice just a Hab was doing the same (ironically also wearing #11) and Hyman cross checked him twice.
I am not opposed to some grit shown but some of this seems pointless and I don't understand why the league allows this.
