Habs potentially have much better goaltending then the Leafs. Probably not enough to overcome the star power difference.

The Habs have pulled 3 significant upsets in the last 12 years including one last year.. Let’s also not forget Columbus over Tampa.

In a 7 game series shit happens and better and much better teams get beat in hockey fairly regularly. Of course Toronto is more likely than not to win.

But predicting things won’t be close historically is not a good value bet in the NHL.
I just don't see a ''Halak'' performance in this team.

I'm calling the Leafs in 4...........

It's not so much the goaltending but the top 3 Leaf forwards, Matthews, Marner, Tavares/Nylander are better than any 3 the Habs can match.
Okay what I'm saying is that the Habs goaltending won't be up to the task against the Leafs potent offence.

And I don't expect their power play problems to continue. They are way better than what they're showing. That will correct itself this series.

Habs don't have the goaltending to beat the Leafs......This series won't be close.
Really your saying Carey Price can’t carry Montreal past Toronto. You may want to look up Prices GAA in the last few playoffs they have been in. Montreal just can’t score to save their lives.

Price missed 19 of their last 21 games......He won't be a factor.

The Leafs will swarm them. Montreal doesn't have the smothering defensive game to shut down that offence.

I think the delayed start to Thursday will help the Habs. Gallagher, Weber and Price can use the extra time to recover from injuries.

Montreal played an absurd 24 games in 42 days to end the season post COVID break. Other teams were playing 18 to 20 in that stretch. That could make a big difference. They will probably benefit more than others from the break.

Not that this will make them close to the expected winner in the first round by any means but it is a factor to close the gap.

Wild and NYI take game 1. I picked the Wild and NYI in the Sportsnet hockey pool. I have the Leafs in 6 or 7, it won't be a cakewalk for the Leafs.
